Hello Nobles and La-dies! April is in full swing and it’s going to be a busy month. The bar project was approved at the April Stated Meeting and demolition started right away Saturday morning. With the help
of Kevin Harr, Kenny Erickson, Lester James, Doug Wanttie, Doug Roggow, Ricky Krokel, Dave Jarvis and my son, Nathan Johnson, the bar was cleaned out and demoed. Demo was completed on Sunday. This project is sched-uled for completion prior to the Potentate’s Ball. So get your tickets and come see the newest improvement to the Shrine Center. By the time you get this the Circus will be in full swing or already completed. Love the Circus season and getting to see smiles and excitement on everyone’s face. This is our largest fundraiser of the year and take all No-bles and Ladies to make it work. It might be lots of work with months of prepping but so worth it to see the kid’s having the time of their life. The Yelduz Clown Unit will be there making magic with balloons this year. Hospital days: Bus will be leaving at 9 A.M. on May 19th. For those of you attending and wanting to join, we will be taking in a Twin’s game on the night of the 19th. Tickets are $34.00 for each person attending and will be ordered on April 14th. Make sure to get signed up prior to then.

Hello Nobles, The Oriental Guide Confer-ence held in Tampa Florida was a wonderful event. There was a ton of information that Lester James and I hope and intend to utilize to become better Divan
members and eventually Potentate. Learning and adapting are keys to success. Past events that were extremely successful and fun were the Ice Fishing tournament at the Shrine Center and the final Bean Bag tourna-ment in Redfield. The Bean Bag tournament is growing in popularity as we had the highest number of teams entered so far. Thank you to all the Nobles and ladies that worked hard at the events or behind the scenes to put these events together to ensure everything went smoothly and everyone had a great time. Now is everyone ready for the CIRCUS!! April 13th 14th and 15th Nobles please get the word out, help work if you can and embrace this very fun and extremely important event for the Shrine. April 29th is the Potentate Ball at the Shrine Center. You should have received your invita-tions with the nights agenda and remember to RSVP. Any questions contact the office or an-yone on the Divan. Let’s make this a night of fun, food, entertainment and a large crown that Potentate Kevin Harr and Lady Kaye will be tremendously proud of. May 19th and 20th is Hospital Days. The baseball game is still on but instead of going to Chanhassen Theater we have the opportunity to go to the Plymouth Center to watch Church Basement Ladies. If you are interested in go-ing contact the Shrine Center office or Bruce Hoffman as soon as possible.
As a Shriner one of the most important things we all need to focus on is being on the Membership Team. This little poem says it best:
What’s the Value of One Member?
Ten faithful Shriners standing in a line, One disliked the Potentate, then there were nine.
Nine ambitious Shriners offered to work late, One forgot his promise, then there were eight.
Eight creative Shriners had ideas good as heaven, One lost enthusiasm, then there were seven.
Seven loyal Shriners to into a fix, They quarreled over programs, then there were six.
Six Shriners remained with spirit and drive, One moved away, then there were five.
Five steadfast Shriners wished there were more, One became indifferent , then there were four.
Four cheerful Shriners who never disagree, One complained of meetings, then there were three.
Three eager Shriners! What do they do? One got discouraged, then there were two.
Two lonely Shriners, our rhyme is nearly done, One joined the Elks, then there was one.
One faithful Shriner was feeling rather blue, Met with a neighbor, then there were two.
Two earnest Shriners, each enrolled one more, Doubling their number, then there were four.
Four determined Shriners just couldn’t wait, ‘Till each got another, then there were eight.
Eight excited Shriners signed up sixteen more, In another six verses, there’ll be a thousand twenty-four.
Nobles, it’s that easy. Attitude is everything. Now let’s go to work!!

New Members Andrew Roeber (wife Jessice) and brother
Alex Roeber were installed at the Stated Meeting Thurs-
day April 6, 2017. They were joined by Potentate Kevin
Harr and their father Scott Roeber
the Hospital and forwarded to WGA4Kids for
payment. It is from those funds designated as
Wheelchairs that the invoices are paid. Every
dollar donated for wheelchairs, regardless of
the amount, helps us meet our commitment to
the funding of Wheelchair Repairs, Replace-
ment Parts and Growth Kits.
If you have not already returned your dues and
raffle tickets please take a few minutes to fill it
out and return to Arly Schnabel in the en-
closed preaddressed envelope. Dues are $10,
10 raffle tickets are $10 Potentate Kevin Harr
is donating a $200 Visa Gift Card for this
year’s raffle. And if you like make an addition
donation as the WGA4Kids funds support the
needs of the patients of the Shriners Hospital
for Children – Twin Cities. This support is done
through providing equipment, recreation, Par-
ent Accommodation Center, personal touches
and service.
Kaye Harr, President
