ADULT BIBLE STUDY READ THE BIBLE THROUGH IN A YEAR
Have you ever been interested in a long-term adult Bible Study with a chance to discuss the Scripture? This summer, we would like to begin a year long walk through the Bible. The plan is for each partici-pant to read the assigned chapters on their own eve-ry day, and then we will get together once a week to talk about what we have read.
We have not settled on a specific time to meet but are currently planning for the discussion group to meet for an hour or so during the daytime. Our planning session and first get-together will be on Tuesday, June 1st right after morning Mass, in the Conference Room in the Parish Hall.
If you have not already signed up for this study, please do so now by completing the registration below and dropping it in the collection basket, re-turning it to the church office or contacting:

IN-PERSON SUMMER PROGRAM FOR KIDS! Totus Tuus is a week-long Catholic summer program for kids and teens that is designed to bring them closer to Christ through sacraments, prayer, and tons of fun. It will take place here at St. Thomas from June 27-July 2. Kinder-garten – 6 th graders will attend Monday-Friday from 9 am-2:30 pm and 7 th -12 th graders will attend Sunday-Thursday from 6-8pm. Registration will begin next week. Please note, we can only accommodate 100 students, so please register early to secure a place for your kids.

BISHOP’S ANNUAL APPEAL It’s been observed that people need a mission, a sense of purpose, in life. In fact, the sense of emptiness so many experience today is a byproduct of not “being on mis-sion.”
As Christians, we are always on mission. And we’ve been on mission ever since that first Pentecost. A mission of love, to share the Good News with a world in need. What a powerful source of purpose and meaning in our lives! To realize that we’re part of the same mission that inspired the likes of St. Teresa of Calcutta, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Thomas Aquinas, all the saints throughout the ages, reaching all the way back to that Upper Room where the Risen Lord appeared to the disciples and first gave them the Holy Spirit.
That mission animates us today, and it’s the reason why we’re so intent on strengthening our parish through the Bishop’s Annual Appeal for Ministries. As we rejoice in our reception of the Holy Spirit this Pentecost, let us prayerfully consider how He might be prompting us to
contribute to this mission, as important now as it was 2000 years ago.

apareció a los discípulos y primero les dio el Espíritu San-to.
