feedback, I decided to put Ward 10’s $2.1M share towards park projects. Detailed design of the parks began in the fall of 2009, with construction beginning the summer of 2010. Lisgar Trail – Trail Improvements included the installation of several benches along the trail system, as well as tree plantings and the addition of trash receptacles. All construction was completed in the summer of 2010. Construction is still underway at Lisgar Fields Community Park, Tobias Mason Community Park, Churchill Meadows Community Common, Jim Murray Community Park and O’Connor Park with completion scheduled for the summer of 2011.

Our New Neighbours in Ward 10 Effective January 2010, the new municipal boundary saw Mississauga acquire a strip of land along the eastern boundary of the Town of Milton. The boundary adjustment affected 25 residences which “moved” from Milton to form part of Wards 8, 9 and 10 in Mississauga. Welcome to the neighbourhood!

The New Mississauga Transit On October 4, 2010 Mississauga Transit launched its new brand, MiWay, with 57 buses in the new livery: blue for MiExpress and orange for MiLocal. Service Changes Effective 2010 49 – McDowell – Weekday – to better serve passengers, the 7:11 pm eastbound trip from Thomas Street at Ninth Line (STOP#5749) now departs at 7:16 pm;
