Year 5 used dots of paint or colouring pens to create the correct effect.

Year 5 studied Aboriginal Art from Australia.

We learnt that the paintings were the Aboriginal people’s way of telling stories. The colourful dot paintings show the beginning of life on earth. These stories and pictures are called Dreamtime. The pictures are called Dreamings.

We learnt that the first people of Australia only used specific earth colours – blue, red, orange and black
