Year 4 and 5 Surf Days
This week children in Year 4 and 5 have had some exciting days down at Perranporth Beach. The classes
took part in taught surfing sessions from Perranporth Surf School and beach games from Go Active. Eve-
rybody had fun filled days with lots of smiles! A big thank you to Perranporth Surf School and Go Active
for giving the children such memorable experiences!
Mrs Laity’s Happy News...
Parents of children in Year 2 will probably already know, but to share the happy
news to the school community... Mrs Laity will soon be expecting her first baby!
She will be starting her maternity leave on the 5th July in order to get prepared
for the new arrival. We’re very grateful that Mrs Green will be taking over the
teaching in Year 2 for the remainder of the term and then covering a teaching
position in September too.
I’m sure you’ll all join us in wishing Mrs Laity well! We’ll look forward to sharing
the news on ‘baby Laity’ when he or she arrives! Good luck Mrs Laity!

Teachers for September
The dates for our upcoming Target Setting Afternoons are Mon 8th July and Tue 9th July. These meetings
are an opportunity for parents and children to get the chance to sit down with next year’s teacher and
discuss the year ahead, make some targets for things the children would like to achieve and chat
through anything parents would like the teachers to know about their child. With these meetings in mind,
we thought it would be a good idea to share with you who will be teaching in which year group : -

Kwik Cricket Festival
A big well done to the cricket team from Year 5 and 6 who represented Per-

children not only played some fantastic cricket, but they also came back
holding the trophy for giving the Best World Cup Presentation! A huge well
done to all!
