● Students sit all of their exams at the
end of the two year course.
● AS qualifications are stand alone which means they do not count towards the A level grade at the end of the two years.
● All students will sit the AS qualification as a confidence boost.
● As with all A level courses a D grade at AS is the minimum to progress onto the second year full A level course.

● Students sit 4 exams which includes 2 AS exams at the end of the first year and two A2 exams at the end of the two year course.
● AS qualifications represent 50% of the A level grade at the end of the two years.
● D grades at AS are the minimum outcome to progress onto the second year full A level course.
Student Timetables across Weeks A and B
Registration 8.50-9.05: enrichment and preparation for working life programme.
Students studying 4 A level subjects or BTEC qualifications have 32 timetabled lessons (8 per subject).

study sessions
◦ Plus 1 enrichment lesson
Leaving 3 non timetabled lessons.
Students studying 3 A level subjects or BTEC qualifications have 24 timetabled lessons (8 per subject).

◦ Plus 2 enrichment lessons
Leaving 4 non timetabled lessons.
All students have 2 x 1 hour tutorial sessions per fortnight.
