Ian PrattXen.org / Citrix Systems

Ian Pratt is the chief architect of the Xen project, and chairman of Xen.org. He has played a key role in both the architecture of Xen and formation of industry partnerships that led to the emergence of Xen as the leading open source virtualization technology. Ian was a member of faculty at the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory, where he led the Systems Research Group for over 7 years. He was a founder of XenSource, and is now VP for Advanced Products at Citrix.

Ian Pratt é arquiteto chefe do projeto Xen e presidente do Xen.org. Desempenhou papel fundamental na arquitetura do Xen e na formação de parcerias com as industrias o que levou ao surgimento do Xen como uma tecnologia de virtualização líder de código aberto. Ian era membro do corpo docente da Universidade de Cambridge Computer Laboratory onde liderou o Grupo de Pesquisa em Sistemas por mais de 7 anos. Ele foi um dos fundadores da XenSource, e agora é vice-presidente de Produtos Avançados da Citrix.

Marco Sinhoreli is virtualization project leader at globo.com located in Brazil and leader/founder of Brazilian Xen User Group. He has been working with Xen since 2005 and with Linux since 1997. Her focus is in infrastructure automation and virtualization, integrating

manual processes in APIs to turn easy and fast the administration.

Marco Sinhoreli é lider do projeto de virtualização na globo.com no Brasil e lider/fundador do grupo brasileiro de usuários Xen. Ele tem estado trabalhando com Xen desde 2005 e com Linux desde 1997. Seu foco está na automatização de insfraestrutura e virtualização, integrando processos manuais em APIs para tornar facil e rapido a administração destes recursos.

Boris QuirozExcelsys SPA

Boris Quiroz is software development engineer at Excelsys, Santiago de Chile. He's in charge of the infrastructure (powered by Xen and XCP) that supports the development and testing of world class software oriented to financial industry in Latin America. He works with Linux since 1999, and has been learning about Xen since 2006. He's a football/soccer fan.

Boris Quiroz é engenheiro de desenvolvimento de software na Excelsys em Santiago do Chile. Ele é responsável pela infraestrutura (utiliza Xen e XCP) que suporta desenvolvimento e testes de software de classe mundial orientado ao mercado financeiro na America Latina. Boris tem trabalhado com Linux desde 1999 e tem aprendido sobre Xen desde 2006. Ele é um fã do futebol.

Antonio Carlos Pina is CTO of ALOG Datacenters do Brasil S.A., Brazil’s leading provider of managed hosting services and IT Infrastructure. Mr Pina is also the chief architect of TECLA (a business unit of Alog), the first XEN-based public cloud offering in Brazil.

Antonio Carlos Pina é CTO da ALOG Datacenters do Brasil S.A., líder no Brasil em serviços de hosting gerenciado e em infraestrutura de TI. Pina também é o arquiteto-chefe da TECLA (uma unidade de negócios da ALOG), primeira Cloud pública brasileira baseada em XEN.

Fabio KungLocaweb

Fabio Kung (http://fabiokung.com) is the Manager and Lead Engineer of the Cloud Computing team at Locaweb. Together with his team, he is in charge of one of the biggest Cloud Computing and virtualization projects in Latin America (using Xen and VMWare). The infrastructure that Locaweb provides as a service is currently supporting more than 4000 virtual machines.

Fabio is also a passionate developer that loves programming languages, compilers, operating systems, networking and virtualization. He is author of the book "Arquitetura e Design de Software" (http://www.arquiteturajava.com.br) and he is always involved in well known brazilian conferences such as Sun Tech Days, QCon SP, FISL and Rails Summit Latin America. Linux hacker since "Guarani 3.0", professional Java programmer since 2002 and Ruby since 2005. He has also spent some time working with Web development in Germany.

Junto do seu time na Locaweb, é responsável por alguns dos maiores projetos de Cloud Computing e virtualização (com Xen e VMWare) da America Latina, onde a estrutura já suporta mais de 4000 máquinas virtuais.

Desenvolvedor apaixonado por linguagens, compiladores, sistemas operacionais, redes e virtualização. É um dos autores do livro “Arquitetura e Design de Software” (http://www.arquiteturajava.com.br), além de estar sempre palestrando e envolvido em eventos de tecnologia como o Sun Tech Days, QCon SP, FISL e Rails Summit Latin America. Também é usuário de Linux desde a época do Linux Guarani 3.0, começou a programar seriamente com java em 2002, com Ruby em 2005 e possui experiência na Alemanha, onde trabalhou com desenvolvimento de sistemas em Java para a Web.

George Dunlap specializes in performance analysis and optimization of XenServer and is currently writing a next-generation scheduler for the Xen hypervisor. He began working with Xen in 2004 as part of the research for his doctorate in computer science and engineering, which he received from the University of Michigan in 2006. Dr. Dunlap joined XenSource in 2006 upon graduation, and has continued working for Citrix since acquisition in 2007.

George Dunlap é especializado em analise de performance e otimização do XenServer e está atualmente escrevendo a próxima geração do scheduler para o Xen Hypervisor. George começou a trabalhar com Xen em 2004 como parte da pesquisa de seu doutorado em ciencias da computação e engenharia que recebeu da Universidade de Michigan em 2006. O Dr. Dunlap se uniu à XenSource em 2006 após concluir o doutorado e continuou trabalhando para a Citrix após a aquisição em 2007.

Gunther Beockmann currently works in SERPRO - public company that aims to modernize and provide agility to strategic sectors of the Brazilian government. He holds a degree in Computer Science and Postgraduate in Information Technologies. It has the MCSE, CCNA, CWNA and LPI Level 1 certificates. Currently working in the Project to Implement and Develop Virtualization Solutions to SERPRO based on systems open source and free tools.

Gunther Beockmann atualmente trabalha no SERPRO, empresa pública que tem por objetivo modernizar e dar agilidade a setores estratégicos da Administração Pública brasileira. É

formado em Ciência da Computação e Pósgraduado em Tecnologias da Informação. Possui os certificados MCSE, CCNA, CWNA e LPI nível 1. Atualmente trabalha no Projeto de Implantação e Desenvolvimento de soluções de Virtualização para o SERPRO com sistemas baseados em código livre e ferramentas gratuitas.

Stephen SpectorXen.org

Stephen Spector is the community manager of the open source Xen.org virtualization community which develops virtualization platform solutions such as the Xen Hypervisor, Xen Cloud Platform, and Xen Client Initiative.

He is responsible for all things Xen, except for the software itself. Stephen is an old school C developer for Real-Time embedded systems and a long time alliance and developer program manager longing for the good old days when technology upheavals only occurred every six months.

Stephen Spector é gerente de comunidade do Xen.org, comunidade que desenvolve soluções de plataformas de virtualização como o Xen Hypervisor, Xen Cloud Platform (XCP) e Xen Client Initiative (XCI).

Ele é responsável por tudo que se refere ao Xen, exceto desenvolvimento de código. Stephen pertence à velha guarda de programadores C para sistemas embarcados em tempo real e é há muito tempo gerente de alianças e de programas de desenvolvimento. Ele sente falta dos velhos dias em que as mudanças de tecnologia aconteciam somente a cada seis meses.
