    Turning Your Phone On and O

    1. Hold down the Power/End Key until the phone switches on.

    2. To switch the phone o, hold down the Power/End Key until thepower-o image displays.

    Making a call

    1. In the standby mode, enter the area code and the phone number.

    2. Press the Call/Answer Key to call the number.

    When making an international call, long press the 0 key until +(international prex character) sign is displayed. Then enter the countrycode, the area code, and the phone number.

    Answering a call

    1. Press the Call/Answer Key to answer the call when the phonerings or vibrates.

    2. I the answer mode o Any Key has been set, any key press will answera call except or the Power/End Key or the right sot key.

    Redialing a call

    1. In the standby mode, press the Call/Answer Key to see a list oCall log showing recent missed calls, dialed calls and received calls.

    2. Scroll to the entry you want to call and press the Call/Answer Key

    In-call Options

    During an active call, you can access the in-call menu by pressing[Options]:

    Contacts: shortcut to contacts menu

    Hold Call: put a call on hold

    New Call: make a new call during an active call

    End Call: end a call

    Messaging: shortcut to messaging menu

    New note: shortcut to Notes menu and take notes during yourconversation

    Recorder: record your conversation during an active call

    Disable DTMF: switch DTMF (Dual Tone Multi-Frequency) tone dialingsystem

    Menu shortcut

    1. In the standby mode, you can press the Navigation Key to quickly

    open an application on your phone. The deault setting is: Up: FM radio

    Down: Music

    Left: Calendar

    Right: Go to

    2. You also can set your desired unction on the dedicated NavigationKey. Select [Settings] rom the main menu, and then select [Go to].

    Your phone supports the Dual SIM cards mode, enabling you to use twoSIM cards at the same time without changing them.

    1. Select [Settings] rom the main menu, and then select [Dual SIM].

    2. Select [Slot1 SIM property] or [Slot2 SIM property]. You can setyour desired SIM name and SIM icon. When two SIM cards are bothinstalled, you can activate one o two or both SIM cards.

    3. Select [SIM switching] to set the switching mode. You can also switch

    SIM manually using the SIM Switch Key on the keyboard. Auto: SIM card is switched automatically or call or message in

    Contact, Call logs and Message box.

    User setting: Select the deault SIM card or call or message inContact, Call logs and Message box. Use the up and down navigationkey to set Deault calling by and Deault messaging by. Use the letand right navigation key to switch the SIM card you want to assignand press [Options] to save your desired setting.

    Note

    I there is only one SIM card installed, this SIM card would beactivated as deault.

    With your phones QWERTY keyboard, you can enter text or numbersand create messages or notes. When you open the text input eld, anindicator at the top right o the display shows the text input mode youare currently using. Use the ollowing keys to access unctions:

    To delete letters, press the Delete Key .

    To enter a space, enter the Space Key .

    To start a new line, press the Enter Key .

    To switch input method, press the Caps Key . To enter the small symbol (such as @) or the number (such as 0) at

    upper right o the keys, press the Fn Key . Press it once or just thenext letter, or twice quickly or all letters.

    Taking Pictures

    1. To open the camera viewnder, press the Camera Key . You can alsoselect [Media] rom the main menu, and then select [Camera].

    2. Point the camera lens at the photo subject. Press the Camera Keyor the Center Key to take a picture.

    3. In the camera mode, you can nd your stored pictures by pressing[Options] and then select Album.

    4. Beore taking your photo, you can adjust picture settings. Press[Options], and then use the let and right navigation key toResolution, Quality, Self timer, View option, Save to etc.

    Recording Video

    1. To open the video viewnder, you can select [Media] rom the mainmenu, and then select [Video].

    2. Point the camera lens at the photo subject. Press the Camera Keyor the Center Key to begin recording a video.

    3. Press [Stop] to end recording the video altogether, or press [Pause] topause recording and [Resume] to continue recording.

    4. In the video camera mode, you can nd your stored videos bypressing [Options] and then select Album.

    5. Beore recording your video, you can adjust video settings. Press[Options], and then use the let and right navigation key to Mode,Quality, Recode audio, Saveto etc.

    Home: Select this to load browser start page (the content depends onthe service provider).

    Google search: Through Google search, you can quickly search orinormation on the mobile Internet.

    Bookmarks: Use this menu to save URL addresses.

    History: View the recent pages you have visited.

    Logs Menu 2

    You can check the record o missed, received, and dialled numbers onlyi the network supports the Calling Line Identication (CLI) within theservice area. The number and name (i available) are displayed togetherwith the date and time at which the call was made. You can also view calldurations.

    Call log: Display all the lists o three types (Received/Dialled/Missedcalls) by time.

    Missed calls: Allow you to view the last 40 unanswered calls. Received calls: Allow you to view the last 40 incoming calls.

    Dialled numbers: Allow you to view the last 40 outgoing calls (calledor attempted).

    Call duration: Allow you to view the duration o your Last call, All calls,Dialled numbers and Received calls.

    Call costs: Check the cost o your Last call, All calls, and reset the cost.

    Data information: Check the total o data transerred over the web

    through GPRS inormation option.

    Media Menu 3

    Music: Listen to music les on your phone.

    Camera: Take pictures through built-in camera and adjust its setting.

    Video: Allows you to record video clip through built-in camera andadjust its setting.

    FM radio: Listen to FM radio channel.

    Schedule FM record: Allow you to pre-schedule FM radio recording.

    Voice recorder: Allow you to record voice memo.

    Melody composer: Allow you to compose a melody.

    Tools Menu 4

    Alarm clock: Allow you to set one o ve alarms. The current time isdisplayed at the upper right corner o the screen when you select analarm to set. At the alarm time, the Alarm icon will be displayed on the

    screen and the alarm will sound. Calculator: This contains the standard unctions such as Addition,Subtraction, Multiplication and Division.

    Converter: This converts any measurement into a unit you want.

    World time: Allow you to determine the current time in another timezone or country.

    STK (SIM services): Display additional unctions or applicationsprovided by your network service provider.

    Organiser Menu 5

    Calendar: You can add, delete or view the event in the calendar tocheck track o daily, weekly, monthly or yearly schedules.

    Note: You can send an SMS to phone number on schedule time.(Menu > Organiser > Calendar > Options > Schedule SMS)

    To do list: You can set and check all o the tasks youve added.

    Notes: Allow you to edit contents and save it as a memo. You can alsopress [Options] and send the note via SMS, MMS, Email or Bluetooth.

    Messaging Menu 6

    Create message: : Allow you to write a new SMS or MMS message.

    Note: You can send SMS to many users at a time. Simply press Optionand select Send to Many. This will open contact list where in user canmark/unmark contacts or sending SMS message. To send the SMS toa particular group o contacts, simply press Options and select Send

    to Group ater composing the SMS.

    Email: Allow you to create and send e-mail.

    Inbox: All the messages you receive are placed into your Inbox.

    Drafts: I you dont have time to nish writing a message, you can savewhat you have done so ar here.

    Outbox: Allow you to view the messages which are about to be sent orhave ailed to be sent.

    Sent items: Allow you to view the messages which have already beensent, including time and content.

    Listen to voicemail: Provide you with a quick way o accessing yourvoice mailbox (i provided by your service provider).

    Info message: Ino service messages are text messages delivered bythe network to your phone.

    Templates: There are pre-dened messages in the list. You can view

    and edit the template messages or create new messages. Message settings: Allow you to set eatures o your service provider.

    Contacts Menu 7

    Names: You can search or contacts in your phonebook. Instantsearching is available by inputting the initial letter o the name youwant to search.

    New contact: You can add entries into your phonebook.

    Settings: You can set the view options in Name only, Name & Numberor With Picture.

    Groups: There are seven deault groups on the phone. With Groupsunction, you can send a message to all members o a group at thesame time.

    Speed dials: Assign the contact number to one o the keys between2 and 8. You can call the phone number by long pressing the assignedkey in the standby mode.

    Copy all: You can copy all entries rom SIM card memory to Phonememory and also rom Phone memory to SIM card memory.

    Delete all: You can delete all entries rom SIM card memory or Phonememory.

    Information: Service dial number: Access the list o service numbers assigned by

    your service provider saely.

    Own number: You can save and check your own numbers in SIMcard.

    My business card: Allow you to create your own business cardeaturing your name, mobile phone number, e-mail address and soon.

    Bluetooth Menu 8

    Power: Switch on or o the Bluetooth connectivity o your phone. Ateractivating Bluetooth, the indicator will be displayed on the standbyscreen.

    Inquiry audio device: Search or the devices that you want to connect.Scroll to the devices you wish to connect to and press [Bond] to pairyour phone with the device.

    My device: Display a list o your Bluetooth connections. Once added tothe list, reconditions can be established with ease.

    Active device: Allow you to manage a list o all active devices aremanaged. You can disconnect the devices by pressing [Disc].

    Settings: Allow you to hide your phone rom other Bluetooth devices.You can also change your device name, set the authentication beoreallowing another device to connect to your phone, toggle the audio

    path between phone and headset, or customize your phones sharedolders and access right.

    Proles Menu 9

    Normal: Ater activating this prole, the indicator will be displayedon the standby screen.

    Silent: Ring tone and vibrator is set to be o. Ater activating thisprole, the indicator will be displayed on the standby screen.

    Outdoor: Ring tone and key tone volume is set to maximum. Ateractivating this prole, the indicator will be displayed on the standbyscreen.

    Flight mode: Wireless network o your phone is disabled, so youcan saely use the non-wireless unctions o your phone (such asmultimedia, tools, or games ext.). Ater activating this prole, the

    indicator will be displayed on the standby screen.

    RockeTalk- RockeTalk is a social networking application to enableyou to search and make new riends and stay connected with them.

    Note: RockeTalk is ree to use. RockeTalk uses a data (internet)connection, and operator data costs will apply. We recommend thatyou use an unlimited (fat rate) data plan, which you can get rom youroperator.

    News Hunt: News Hunt is a unique mobile application designed toenable viewing and reading newspapers in the regional languageson the go.

    Network profile: You can select the available network provider

    respectively or two SIM cards within the service area.

    My images: This older saves all o your image les.

    My sounds: This older saves all o your audio les.

    My videos: This older saves all o your video clip les.

    Others: This older is used to store les except images, sounds andvideos.

    Settings Menu 12 Dual SIM: You can set the properties respectively or two SIM cards.

    Display: Allow you to personalize display setting, including Wallpaper,Clocks, Backlight Timer and so on.

    Date & Time: You can set the unctions relating to the date and time.

    Call: You can set the menu relating to a call respectively or two SIMcards, such as Call divert, Call barring, Call waiting etc. You can also set

    Answer mode, Excuse message and Black list.Excuse message: Beore you reject an incoming call, you can use

    Excuse messages to send a message to explain why you do notanswer an incoming call.

    Black list: By selecting Mode to ON in Black list, once you switch onthe Black List Mode, Type the Required Number to be in the BlackList and save it. User can not receive any calls rom the numberswhich are saved in Black list.

    Network: Select the available network service providers respectivelyor two SIM cards.

    Languages: You can change the language or the display texts on yourphone. This change could also aect the Language Input mode.

    Security: You can have the phone more saely by setting PIN code,Auto key lock, Handset lock, Anti-thet mobile tracker, application lockand secret older.

    Anti -theft mobile tracker: When the handset is stolen, handsetsends the SMS to the numbers congured by real Owner. To activatethe ATMT eature, you will need to set ATMT on, and congure theATMT settings with Name, Primary number and secondary numberrs.Deault ATMT Code is 0000.

    Application lock: To prevent unauthorized use o phoneapplications, you can enable application lock which requires user toenter a password when accessing applications. Password is the same

    as the security code (Deault password is 0000).Secret folder: By enabling this menu, user can prevent unauthorized

    use o Gallery menu items (My images, My sounds, My videos,Others). Deault password is 0000.

    Go to: Allow you set your desired shortcut on the dedicated navigationkeys o Up, Down, Let and Right.

    Fake call: You can set the unctions to receive a ake call at a speciedtime.

    Note: Fake call can be edited rom idle screen by pressing #*#.

    Power save: Choose among the ollowings, O/Night only/Always On,to change the actory set power saving settings. This unction allowsyou to save battery power by reducing backlight brightness level andset backlight timer to minimum.

    Memory info.: You can check ree space and memory usage o eachrepository.

    Restore factory settings: Allow you to reset the entire phone to itsactory deaults or delete all the les saved on your phone.

    PC Sync download

    Installing LG PC Suite on your computer

    1. Go to www.lgapplication.com and choose your region rst and thenyour country.

    2. Select Manual & Sotware and click Go to Manual & S/W downloadsection to download.

    3. Select the language you would like the installer to run in and click OK.

    4. Follow the instructions on screen to complete the LG PC Suite Installerwizard.

    5. Once installation is complete, the LG PC Suite icon will appear on yourdesktop.

    Emergency calls

    Emergency calls may not be available under all cellular networks. Thereore,you should never depend solely on the phone or emergency calls. Checkwith your local service provider.

    Battery inormation and care

    You do not need to completely discharge the battery beore recharging.

    Unlike other battery systems, there is no memory eect that couldcompromise the batterys perormance.

    Use only LG batteries and chargers. LG chargers are designed to maximizethe battery lie.

    Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery pack.

    Replace the battery when it no longer provides acceptable perormance.The battery pack may be recharged hundreds o times beore it needs tobe replaced.

    Do not expose the battery charger to direct sunlight or use it in highhumidity, such as the bathroom.

    Exposure to radio requency energy

    Radio wave exposure and Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)information

    This mobile phone model has been designed to comply with applicablesaety requirement or exposure to radio waves. This requirement is based onscientifc guidelines that include saety margins designed to ensure saety oall persons, regardless o age and health.

    The radio wave exposure guidelines employ a unit o measurement knownas the Specifc Absorption Rate, or SAR. Tests or SAR are conducted usingstandardized methods with the phone transmitting at its highest certifedpower level in all used requency bands.

    While there may be dierences between the SAR levels o various LG phonemodels, they are all designed to meet the relevant guidelines or exposureto radio waves.

    The SAR limit recommended by the international Commission on Non-

    Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) is 2W/kg averaged over ten (10) gramo tissue.

    The highest SAR value or this model phone tested by DASY4 or use at theear/body is [0.659]/[0.575] W/kg (10g).
