In 2010, it happened once, on July 24. The rest of the year was far from normal. It began with an unusuallycold winter that was punctuated by a hard freeze in early January. That trend gave way to record-settingwarmth through spring and summer, though no record highs were set until late October. Drought conditionshat persisted for most of the year would have been much worse if not for Julys record-setting rainfall.
