UKITE• The BOA provides access to the United Kingdom and Ireland In-Training Examination
(UKITE) held every December within training programmes as part of your membership.
• UKITE is an annual national, online examination providing immediate results to trainees with similar formatted questions based on the UK Trauma and Orthopaedic curriculum.
• UKITE has been an annual event in the post-graduate orthopaedic calendar since 2007. Currently it hosts a question bank of around 11,500 MCQs and EMQs providing a powerful educational resource with high quality, relevant and curriculum-based questions.

British Orthopaedic Surgery Research• BOA initiative to support the development of clinical trials through a grant to the
York Trials Unit who will develop the BOA Orthopaedic Surgery Research Centre (BOSRC).
• BOSRC will help BOA members develop their research ideas into grant applications and help run commissioned projects.
• To be successful in research funding, the research question needs to convince the relevant funding body of its importance and relevance to the NHS. If you have an idea you would like us to explore, please complete the form available on the BOA website (www.boa.ac.uk/research/bosrc/).
