Qualifications • Master's degree in a related field or an equivalentcombination of education and experience. CONTEXT OF THE POSITION
The litigation fellowship provides anopportunity for a recent law schoolgraduate, within three years of law school,to work with experienced environmentalpractitioners within a leading environmentalnon-profit organization.
The fellow will take a lead role indeveloping litigation CBF will bring orsupporting litigation in which CBF iscurrently engaged. If the opportunitypresents itself, the fellow will participate inlitigation. The fellow will work closely withthe Vice President for Litigation, litigationcounsel, litigation staff, and other CBF staff,including scientists, land planners, lobbyistsand educators.
The fellow’s responsibilities will include, butare not limited to:
· Analyzing federal and stateenvironmental laws, regulations, andadministrative processes that apply to theproject
· Reviewing agency records, files anddocuments
· Summarizing findings in the form ofa formal memorandum that includes properdocumentation and accurate citations
Assist the Litigation Department indeveloping and researching new cases.
· Working directly with communitymembers to learn about the environmentalconditions of their neighborhood anddetermining how CBF can serve their needs
· Communicating and working withother groups outside of CBF
