About the WTIAWho We AreThe Welding Technology Institute of Australia (WTIA) represents the welding profession in Australia. Its members are made up of individual welding professionals and companies. WTIA members are involved in almost every facet of Australian industry and make a significant contribution to the economy.
Our primary goal is to ensure that the Australian welding industry remains both locally and globally competitive, both now and into the future. WTIA is the Australian representative member of the International Institute of Welding (IIW). Our Mission The mission of WTIA is to promote the interests of its members in the field of welding in Australia.
Our Investment StrategyThe WTIA generates revenue through its commercial activities, which is then reinvested back into the welding community for the benefit of our members.

Member Types Individual MembershipIndividual membership is open to students, tradesmen, inspectors, supervisors, engineers, academics and anyone interested in welding.
Corporate MembershipCorporate membership is open to all companies’ associated with welding or related activities.
SMART Industry Groups MembershipSMART (Save Money And Re-engineer with Technology) Industry Groups identify and meet the critical welding needs of key Australian markets, such as mining, power, construction, defence, and oil and gas.
