    1. introduction

    As part of our communication at the POS, signage helps to create a consistent visual identity for the Würth brand. When designing signs, it is important that the logo be very striking to ensure that it is clearly visible from long distances.

    2. using the logo

    Signs generally feature the red and black logo on a white background. When used on signs, the minimum distance between the logo and the edges of the sign or other layout elements should correspond to the height of the lower half of the symbol. The largest possible logo size that accommodates the free space should be used.

    The largest possible logo size that accommodates the free space should be used on signs without any other design elements. The logo is centred vertically or horizontally within the layout depending on the format. In exceptional cases, the centred logo may be used on square applications.

    The largest possible logo is positioned at the top of portrait and square format signs with additional information. The free space must be taken into account. A red communication box is featured below the free space. All other content is integrated into this communication box. The minimum distance between the communication box and all other elements should correspond to the height of the lower half of the symbol.

    Landscape format signs with additional information feature a communication box that covers at least half the height of the entire format. The logo is then positioned in the remaining top area. The free space must be taken into account.

    Extremely wide, narrow format

    On extremely wide, narrow formats, the logo is positioned on the right side and scaled to the height of the format. The free space must be taken into account. The red communication box is to the left of the free space.

    The interplay of our colours conveys the strength and quality of our brand while creating our characteristic visual identity. Würth Red and white are used over large areas. White is used for text elements on signs, black may only be used in exceptional cases.

    Only a very limited number of text elements may be used on each sign to ensure that viewers can read the information quickly.

    All text elements are generally set in the corporate typeface Wuerth Extra Bold Cond. Only uppercase letters are used. White type is used for clear legibility. Black may also be used to distinguish between different types of information.

    The typeface Wuerth Book may be used in exceptional cases, e.g. very long texts. In this case, the text is in mixed type and only white.

    5. arrows and pictograms

    Arrows Arrows are used to provide a point of reference and help customers find their way at our locations. The Würth arrows are striking and instantly visible, making them a characteristic part of our visual identity. Only the defined arrow shapes shown here are used on signs. Other types of arrows are not used.

    Pictograms Pictograms are used sparingly and are always featured inside the red communication box. Wuerth Extra Bold Cond is used for all type. Pictograms are generally square in shape.
