After, Students will write the first draft of their Process essays. 5. Students will express any doubts throughout the process 6. Students will correct and revise their first drafts 7. Finally, Students will hand in the final version of their Process essays. 1. Students will collectively fill a web organizer of the word persuasion. 2. Students will use the web organizer to write a one sentence definition for persuasion. 3. 5. The video will help students define and distinguish the three appeals of Persuasive Writing: Moral, Logical, and Emotional. 6. Students will look at a series of advertisements and identify what type of appeals they use.

Phase II- Conceptualization Students will create 3 original appeals on a social issue of their choice. Phase III- Application Elaborating Persuasive Essays

1. In small groups of three-four, students will select a social issue of their choice. 2. Then they will persuade their audience about why their opinion is correct by coming up with 3 appeals (1 logical, 1 emotional, 1 moral) 3. To Accompany their appeals, the students will create picture advertisements. (Worksheet provided) 4. Students will write their Persuasive essays 5. Students will share their advertisements and appeals.
