Anglers who discover what the whitefish are biting end up having hours of enjoyment and very tired arms! TRY A WINTER VACATION Coghlan Lake Lodge and Teehnah Lake are available from mid-February to mid-April for those of you interested in dog-sledding, snowmobiling, ice-fishing, snowshoeing, skiing, and breathtaking Northern Lights. Six of our camps are located along the famous Yukon Quest dog sled trail. Inquire for details. Our beautiful wilderness lakes have clear water, steep drop-offs and very few snags LIVE RELEASE Guests are required to fish with single barbless hooks and release spawning size fish in order to maintain our high quality experience. Only small fish may be kept for eating in camp. Our guests prefer to measure, photograph and release their trophy and have a Taxidermist produce a replica that you cannot tell from a top quality skin mount. Guests may not take fish home from the lakes. FISHING LICENSES Licenses can be purchased from us. WEIGHT LIMITATIONS While we do not wish to restrict our guests too much we do ask them to travel lightly. WE DO NOT OVERLOAD AIRCRAFT. Any party that cannot stay within a limit of 300 pounds per person including all of their gear and groceries will be charged extra. FEDERAL GOODS AND SERVICES TAX (GST) A Goods and Services Tax is applied across Canada on most goods and services except groceries. Non-Canadian residents are entitled to a 50% rebate of the GST if deposits for their trips are received 90 days prior to their arrival in Canada. WHEN TO COME FISHING IN THE YUKON Our fishing season in the Yukon runs from the last weekend in May to the end of September. The best months for fishing in this part of western Canada are June and July and the fishing in late September can also be quite good. Coghlan Lake Lodge

Coghlan Lake is located 60 air miles north of Whitehorse in Canada’s Yukon. Coghlan Lake is 7 miles long and three-quarters of a mile wide. Your fishing lure may be visible as much as 40 feet below the surface.

Coghlan Lake produces Lake Trout and Northern Pike up to 30 pounds, Arctic Grayling up to 4 pounds, Burbot up to 15 pounds and Lake Whitefish to 12 pounds.

Coghlan Lake Lodge is a three bedroom log house. There are three bedrooms with two beds each. The downstairs floor is a classic log cabin with a rustic living room area plus dining and kitchen areas. The framed upper floor has the three bedrooms and an indoor bathroom. A wood sauna is also available at the Lodge.

WhiTehorse is easy To geT ToWhitehorse is the capital of Canada’s Yukon Territory which

is located North of British Columbia and East of Alaska.

Whitehorse is situated on Mile 912 of the Alaska Highway.

Some of our guests drive while most arrive by AIR. Flights

to Yukon are easily arranged directly to Whitehorse from

Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Frankfurt (Condor, once

a week) in Germany. Daily air flights connecting through

Vancouver to Whitehorse with Air Canada & Air North.

Regular scheduled service to Whitehorse from Edmonton &

Calgary with Westjet and Air North. We recommend guests

give themselves 2-3 hours to clear customs in Vancouver.

We also recommend guests plan to stay 1 night at a hotel in

Whitehorse the evening of their departure from the lakes. This

gives everyone some flexibility in case weather restricts float

plane access to the lakes.

seVen ouTPosT CamPs To Choose fromThe outpost camps can accommodate parties from 2 to 12.

We have only ONE camp per lake and ONE party per camp.

If we book 2 people into an 8 man camp, for example, those

2 people have the camp all to themselves. LYN Lake has a 2

man camp, KEN and 10 MILE have 4 man camps, FRANK,

MANDANNA, and DRURY lakes have 8 man camps, and

CLAIRE Lake has a 12 man camp. Deep 14’ boats are supplied

based on 2 fishermen per boat.

Teehnah laKeTeehnah Lake offers a little more than just good fishing. Teehnah is a great place for people who are interested in hiking and exploring. Well marked horse trails allow guests to hike to and explore two other lakes with canoes on them. Teehnah Lake is the best lake for naturalists and wildlife viewers. Creeks and rivers around Teenah offer incredible opportunities for Grayling on the fly.

horse PaCKing adVenTuresFor those of you who love the outdoors, horses, good food and great company, this is the trip for you. Join us as we enjoy our annual moose hunt by horseback.

Clients will spend 10 days in the pristine wilderness horseback riding, hiking, canoeing, wildlife watching, berry picking and fishing. Come a-long as we search for the largest member of the deer family, the mighty moose! Comfortable spike camps a day’s ride from the main cabin at Teehnah will be available to give us the ability to explore new country with the horses.

Area wildlife includes grizzly and black bear, caribou, wolf, otter, beaver, muskrat, moose, mink, martin, weasel, wolverine, and birds of many kinds.

This trip takes place in September from the 10th until the 20th. We have four spaces available each year.

unsPoiled WildernessOur camps are fully equipped so that you may enjoy the wilderness setting undisturbed. Our boats have the required safety equipment, but it is up to the Party Leader to ensure that a sufficient number of party members have enough boating experience to operate the boats safely. As our trips are unguided, we are not responsible for the actions of our guests. Guests must take care not to harm wildlife or the environment.

The lakes are small enough so that guides are unnecessary, therefore you may enjoy the wilderness unrestricted by formal meal hours or schedules. Our forest-surrounded lakes are located in scenic settings. Under 24 hour daylight of early summer, the avid angler can cast or troll to his or her heart’s content, or just relax and enjoy nature. There are bald eagles, loons, ravens, arctic terns, beavers, lynx, mink, marten, caribou, moose and bear to watch and photograph in their natural setting.*Guided trips available upon request.

The 20’ pontoon boat has been modified to allow two wheelchairs to be placed near the stern for trolling and the tractor has a trailer to provide a ride between dock and lodge.
