INTRODUCING PERCY
At Swale Specialist Teaching and Learning Service (STLS) we pride
ourselves on developing our services to respond to the needs of our
pupils and local community. We know that therapy dogs have become
an increasingly popular way to support children and young people with a
range of needs and in a variety of situations, raising their confidence and
enhancing their wellbeing. We therefore made a decision to invest in
training a working support dog that could work alongside our specialist
teachers in their work in Swale.
Percy is now one-year-old and has been doing some great work with
children in a variety of settings and schools. Percy attends settings and
schools by request and with prior arrangement, accompanied by a
member of the Specialist Teaching and Learning Team.
