COE’s exclusive Work Roll Advisor takes the guesswork out of straightener setup. Users simply enter material specifications into the HMI and the correct straightener roll depth setting is automatically calculated based on the material type, thickness, width and yield strength. These settings can be modified to meet the specific needs of each unique material and then saved to the straightener Job Recipe Manager for easy recall the next time that material is run.

Additionally, COE’s Work Roll Compensation feature monitors the outer diameter (OD) of the coil and automatically adjusts the straightener to compensate for changes in the amount of coil set in the material as the coil OD depletes. Designed to work in combination, these unique features assure that optimum flatness results are achieved coil after coil.
