Abiomed

Location Danvers, MASize 29,800 sf

To encourage collaboration and inspire creativity, Stantec developed an open, angled and irregular floor plan featuring office space, research labs, war rooms and scrum walls. The strategic use of glass created a visual connection between the labs and the workspace.

Air Line Pilots Association

Location Tysons, VASize 103,000 sf

Stantec worked closely with the Association to design a new, more modern workplace for their nearly 250 employees, focusing on the Association as a collective rather than a group of individuals.

American Academy of Pediatrics HQ

Location Itasca, ILSize 100,000 sf

This build-to-suit office building for all of AAP’s members and employees features a members’ lounge, fitness center, simulation studios, focus group space, nursing mothers’ rooms, outdoor meeting area, cafeteria, catering facility, and two-story atrium lobby. Its inspiring design will serve to attract the industry’s top talent.

American Agriculture

Location Schaumburg, ILSize 30,000 sf

American Ag committed to holistically elevating their office space to reflect a more agile workforce, invigorated brand, and an energized, collaborative culture.

Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC

Location Pittsburgh, PASize 140,000 sf

A dramatic change from their former traditional office, Stantec transformed BIR’s workplace to reflect a more contemporary and functional design. The new office promotes interaction through open collaboration spaces, central coffee bars, and a café.

BMO Milwaukee

Location Milwaukee, WISize 123,000 sf

Collaboration and efficiency were the key drivers of the design for BMO. The new space provides a variety of areas for staff to work and meet with access to natural light.

bon COOK

Location Birmingham, MISize 5,600 sf

Stantec transformed a large, stripped- down space in a Birmingham office building into bon Cook’s new office, retail hub and experience center. The space features a high-profile kitchen for workshops and cooking events, dining and lounge spaces, office space for 25 staff, executive offices and photography studio.

BPX Energy

Location Denver, COSize 138,000 sf

This new office in Denver’s Platte Street neighborhood supports BP’s ambitious sustainability and wellness goals, while also providing the company with flexibility to accommodate growth.

Canada House

Location London, EnglandSize 86,000 sf

This renewal of a 200-year old building on Trafalgar Square consolidates embassy functions and celebrates the diversity of Canada’s people, climate, and geography.

Clarks North American Headquarters

Location Boston, MASize 125,000 sf

Revitalizing this historic building, Stantec worked in collaboration with base building architect SGA, to design a headquarters facility that reinforces Clarks’ commitment to the community and celebrates their brand.

Confidential Biopharm Client

Location Redwood City, CASize 4,000 sf

Having completed multiple projects on this campus, we knew the importance of a single gathering place for employees to eat and socialize. In addition to the café, we refreshed the lobby and reconfigured the entire entry space for a more sophisticated, welcoming experience.

A new site within a large campus was identified to better support the client’s quickly expanding team. The design, which was heavily influenced by employees, features a music theme and embodies the comfortable, Austin-like vibe they were seeking.

As our client continues to expand in Chicago’s Fulton Market District, their latest project needed to feel uniquely Chicago and as if it were a natural member of the neighborhood’s existing community.

Rapid growth necessitated a significant expansion of the client’s existing facility. In developing a unique design solution, striking the appropriate balance between the client’s mission, specific regional context and holistic wellness of each team member was paramount.



Our challenge was to design a national training headquarters that successfully marries brand, culture, and performance. We developed a concept that references Cloud-based technology—the primary subject matter discussed within the space—around which the design would grow.

We designed a headquarters and training center for this global leader in robotic systems for minimally invasive surgery. Our work showcases our client’s new European design guidelines.

DCVC

Location San Francisco, CASize 3,500 sf

For this venture firm’s San Francisco office, we envisioned a design that was refined but also accessible, that would appeal to their young startups as well as their multi-billion dollar investors. Working at startup speed, we designed and documented the space in less than 5 weeks.

Delta Dental


This new office brings employees together on two floors joined by a central staircase. Sustainability, continuity, and natural light were key goals of the project.

This modernized, sustainable, accessible workspace provides the provincial government with flexible solutions that accommodate the way employees work today. It also provides options for future growth and new ways of working.

Iron Mountain European HQ

Location London, ENSize 8,100 sf

The holistic design approach for Iron Mountain’s new European Headquarters balances workplace efficiency and aesthetics, delivering a space focused on user experience, wellbeing, and a sense of community.

JLL Denver


This remodel-in-place provided an opportunity to improve current work practices by maximizing efficiencies and enhancing the visitor experience. We were able to maintain headcount on the floor and provide additional amenity spaces by right-sizing private office and workstation standards. A fresh, new finish palette completes the space.

Mapbox

Location Washington, DCSize 17,000 sf

A cutting-edge technology firm whose staff is made up of mostly Millennials, Mapbox desired a space that celebrates their culture and supports their collaborative work style. The 100% open workspace offers staff a multitude of work environments to choose from.

Marriott Global Sales and Customer Care

Location Midvale, UTSize 65,000 sf

The design reflects the stunning natural beauty of the surrounding landscape and provides employees with a range of work settings to suit different preferred work styles.

Microsoft Azure East

Location Reston, VASize 52,000 sf

Our design for the renovation of Microsoft’s Azure East office focuses on delivering a human-centered work environment. Neighborhoods accommodate teams of up to 12 with phone, focus, and project teaming areas. Hubs create a destination to eat, play, and unwind.

The Nature Conservancy

Location Boulder, COSize 16,000 sf

The Nature Conservancy helps fortify the future of our world by directly impacting the lands and people of 79 countries on six continents. We designed a 21st century workplace that embodies the sense of mission, hope, urgency and achievement that fuels the passion of TNC employees, members and donors.

The Tennyson

Location Plano, TXSize 266,000 sf

A coveted destination for the modern office worker. New amenities bring fresh air to this building including an upscale coffee bar, café with local food vendors, indoor/outdoor fitness areas, yoga, an after hours speakeasy, collaborative meeting areas, a large café lounge and an outdoor shipping container bar with food trucks.

Walgreens Chicago Office


This space serves as the client’s technology hub hosting an estimated 1,800 employees. Our client was the first tenant to commit to moving into the Old Post Office, revitalizing a mixed use building that had been sitting vacant since the late 1990s.

Wintrust Customer Contact Center

Location Rosemont, ILSize 20,000 sf

We created a Customer Contact Center that was downtown-reminiscent, uniquely branded, technologically-forward, uber-functional, attractive and suitable for developing a strong and communal office culture.

Wintrust Wealth Management


Keeping in line with the original architecture was key for Wintrust’s renovation. To ensure harmony between the historic and the contemporary, our team designed appropriate workstations, offices, and a new staircase in the Grand Banking Hall.

Xero


The design of Xero’s office focused on creating an open, bright, and collaborative work environment. The new free-address workspace is unassigned, allowing staff to choose where they want to work—whether it be at a workstation, the café-style break area, a collaborative lounge, or more secluded table in a huddle/focus area.

33 Arch Street


This repositioning and renovation of a 33-story office building built in 2004 was designed to meet the owner’s goals: breathe new life into the building, increase the building’s public profile, and enhance the user experience.

125 Summer Street


This building repositioning project in downtown Boston now attracts new high-tech and diverse tenants with a fresh lobby, amenities and entrance. Occupancy soared from 35% to 90%.

815 Connecticut Ave


Located one block from the White House, the outdated 45-year-old office building was converted to a trophy building to support the owner’s vision for a high-performance, sustainable property that would attract tenants. The building received LEED Platinum certification.

1620 L Street NW


In an effort to attract tenants, this 12-story office building was repositioned to a Class A property, complete with a new entrance canopy, renovated lobby, new conference center and fitness center.

7200 Wisconsin Ave

Location Bethesda, MASize 274,000 sf

Hired by the JBG Companies to reposition the 12-story multi-tenant office building, Stantec updated the building common areas and added tenant amenities to reflect a more modern aesthetic.

The Westory


Renovation, improvements, and new tenant amenities were part of an overall program to reinvigorate this office building located two blocks from the White House. Maintaining a classic aesthetic with modern touches, the design creates a hospitality-style environment for tenants and visitors alike.
