Working Group 2 – Volcano Observations Meetings of the WG2: - November 2010: KO meeting (Rome; IT) - April 2011: Splinter meeting during the EGU 2011 (Vienna; AT) - September 2011: First Workshop during (Erice; IT) and … - March 2012: First Regional Workshop (Santorini; GR) - April 2012: Second Workshop (Vienna; AT) WG2 Objectives: • To optimize the best architecture for the multidisciplinary distributed Research Infrastructure among the observatories; • To guarantee the technical interoperability of the distributed Research Infrastructures; • To guarantee the adoption of common standards and practices for the implementation phase; • To facilitate the access to data centers and to the use of modeling and processing tools WG2 Tasks: 1.Integrated infrastructure of European Volcano Observatories: to identify the roadmap (steps, initiatives for the promotion, design, etc.) to create the infrastructure. 2.Definition and role of the WG2 stakeholders: to identify the stakeholders in the domain of volcanological data (National Research Organizations, funding agencies, data providers, data users, …); guidelines for stakeholder interactions; possible stakeholder contacts and commitments; etc. 3.Volcanological DB and relationship with WP7: This Task is aimed at contributing to the implementation of the EPOS Core Service. 4.Data Policy: This task is complementary to the previous one and would give the guidelines for the data policy of volcanological products (i.e., data types, data availability, type of access, etc.). WG2 Objectives:• To optimize the best architecture for the multidisciplinary distributed
