FANTASTIC! It was just like the good old days!
Leader of the organising group Sandra Parkinson (left)
says a huge
THANK YOU TO ALL!
Just over 70 members arrived with chainsaws, water blasters, leaf blowers, etc eager to work their butts off for their Club.
Board member Heather Worley looks as stylish as evereven in her
work clothes ...
She and Neville Dennis get started on one lot of water
blasting ...
Above: Mike Milne & Dave Gray around the swimming pool area while above right & left is Kevin Giles & Carl Hankins are obviously happy in their work!
Here Past Board chairman Pete Burgess got stuck in to the entranceway and around the pool.
Brendan Smith & James Webber
All ages keen to get on with it. Thomas Judd, & Enzo Villarama with George
Allbury & Colin Wallace
Above: Caroline Kemp & Tony Dye check out where they should be.
The finished product!! WOW!!
Around the swimming pool area John Rayner weeds the garden while at right Robyn Page takes a brief and well deserved break.
Robyn is an enthusiastic gardener and went way above her call of duty!
It was JPs mission to clean and tidy the Pool house and surrounds. And here is part of the garden Jen worked on
John Paul (JP) in his Counties jersey and Blues hat came prepared to work all day and that he did! Like everyone who was here Sunday JP wasnt afraid of getting a bit of dirt on his hands (and legs!) Above left he was quick to pass on duties to David Cameron Brown and partner
Marianne while above right JPs partner Jen Fergusson was busy in the other swimming pool garden
There was no stopping the ladies ..
Caitlin Ward stops painting for the camera ..
Above: No stone was left unturned in the kitchen. Fiona Ashby & right Fiona & Sandra again. Reaching up top is Suzanna Bevis and

Office Liz was being her vocal self and with success. I must admit it worked a treat!
Above: Darren Ward advises Melanie Blackburne who at right was quickly on the job
while Caitlins mum Lorrae & Kate Richardson preferred to ignore me!! Then Kate moved to the lounge to supervise dadGraeme to make sure he didnt miss any parts in painting the skirting boards. On checking she did find a few!! So our Mr President followed daughters request! .. you see ..
Above: Scrubbing the outdoor chairs were Judy Naylor & Bev Thomas; Rose Finch & far right Jacinta Gunn, Gail Smith & Sandra Parkinson
..Kate was only following what shes been taught ... ..if a jobs worth doing its worth
doing properly!
Tony Dye painting outside the Pilates Room
A brief morning tea for most including Tony Dye (left) and Colin Wallace and grandson Matthew, Robyn Page & Liz Houghton Brown. It wasnt long before Sandra cracked the whip again! Some great food was supplied by Fiona Ashby, Jenny Green and Liz Houghton Brown
Mark Georgealias Mr Groomit was at his best and like many hardly let up all day! Furthermore he was very happy to do so!
Sandra againchecking out Peter & Jeff Steele. After their work they should not lose any more balls!! I think
that was Peters plan!
David Cameron Brown had the easier job here! Adam Griffiths repaired the Auckland Eye sign on Court 3 Maurie Peters spent most of the
day in the Gym and did a fantastic job!
The juniors were amazing! Here they are taking around water to replenish the thirst of the hard workers. From left: Josh Hankins,
Thomas Judd and Tino Villarama
Above-Dexter Loos & right Steve Buckmaster were both
handy with the paint brush.
Mike Webber & Colin Wilson get-started on the Palm. It was a real
challenge!
Above: Heather and the waterblaster helpers David Goldfinch and Nev Dennis prepare to do the side of the building
Left: Heather again in a supervisory capacity! I think this yellow jacket has made her feel powerful!! Shes checking on the water blasters above Nev Dennis and George Allbury
below centre
Above: If Mike Webber could play tennis as well as he uses a chainsaw hed be in our
Caro Bowl Team!!
Below: Decisionsdecisions decisions for Steve Hall, Mike Webber & Mike Milne
The Skip was huge and many thought we would never fill it! How wrong they were. Left Paul Matthews adds more branches, above Ted Villarama and Mark George break them down to fit
more rubbish in and Colin Wilson tops it up again!
Above: While its not very clear this is Carl Hankins up the tree!
Up on the roof Steve Hall & Neville Dennis
Above & below: We were so lucky with the expertise on hand. Craig OHagan was quick to put the wall up after the tree came
down
At the end of a very productive day many enjoyed a BBQ and refreshments
Ray Maxwell was in charge of the BBQ and Robert Orr & Brendan Smith lend a hand. At right Graeme Richardson enjoys the tasty food.
Back: JP, Ray Maxwell, and front George Allbury, Nev Dennis & Martin Allbury
