What’s most interesting about your job? New challenges and seeing employees grow in their manufacturing abilities and talents. What training prepared you with the necessary skills? On-the-job training and supervisor communication classes. How did you decide on your career path? I enjoy helping others, the challenge of getting products done on time, and finding continuous improvements. What advice would you give students who are undecided on a career field? Factory jobs can be rewarding—seeing something through from start to finish. Whatever career you choose, do what you like to do and enjoy going to work. Matt Busch (2010 All Star) Job title: Welder Job duties: Welding and fabrication What’s most interesting about your job? Constantly learning new things. Each day brings something different and challenging, giving me the opportunity to grow. What training prepared you with the necessary skills? I attended NWTC and learned the basics of welding. On-the- job training has helped me excel, and I also learned from my team members. How did you decide on your career path? I always liked working with my hands. What advice would you give students who are undecided on a career field? Do not limit yourself to a specific field right away. Try various areas to see what you like best.

Dale Hock (2011 All Star)Job title: Welding Supervisor Job duties: Schedule work for the shop and train new employees

What’s most interesting about your job? There’s a new challenge every day. Seeing others realize that they can accomplish hard jobs.

What training prepared you with the necessary skills? Math and shop classes in high school.

How did you decide on your career path? I just started welding after high school, and I enjoyed it.

What advice would you give students who are undecided on a career field?If you love to work with your hands, welding is a great career.

Nicholas Theodoru (2011 All Star)Job title: WelderJob duties: Welding and fabrication

What’s most interesting about your job? I work on many different projects, and I know that I am putting out a quality product that our customers are looking for, and may not find anywhere else.

What training prepared you with the necessary skills? Blueprint reading, math, problem-solving, tech school, and practice.

How did you decide on your career path? I liked the idea of using technology and working with my hands to make things.

What advice would you give students who are undecided on a career field? Don’t overlook working with your hands. Not everyone is meant to sit behind a desk. In manufacturing, you have to be smart and good with your hands.

Christopher Corbeille (2012 All Star)Job title: Project Manager / System AdministratorJob duties: Ensure our technology is up-to-date

What’s most interesting about your job? Technology, whether it is hardware or software, is always changing and I am constantly learning new things.

What training prepared you with the necessary skills? Along with my engineering degree, I also took a number of

business classes that helped me in understand how a business operates.

How did you decide on your career path? I have always had a passion for technology and solving problems.

How does your company promote teamwork and what is your role? Teamwork at our company provides our customers with a quality part that is on time and meets or exceeds expectations. I make sure our technology is kept running, and everyone is trained on how to use it.
