disseminated blebs, tenor of pyrite

decreases with depth.


Rhyolite Tuff - medium grained, 5mm

equigranular, mottled light grey on

mauve. Upper contact at 127.1' is

55O to core - No contact phenomena.

No gradational change.

irregular upper contact.

white on mauve matrix to 5mm, occasional

2mm black angular fragment cored with

pyrite, rarely very fine grained pyrite,

on the odd fractures upper contact at

168 abrupt and sharp at 55O to core.

Rhyolite Breccia continued - dark grey,

mineralized by quartz stringers with

pyrite - quartz stringers to 125mm at 40 C

to core - pyrite and quartz decreasing

with depth - below 192.


Commencing at 208 a 20mm band of dark-

grey chert at 5QO to core followed by

125mm of dark black, medium grained,

siliceous, magnetite rich tuff or fine

grained rhyolite breccia then another 20j

band of grey chert. The odd band of grej

chert in breccia to 214 when rock become!

banded chert and magnetite (a lean iron
