You can do this bridging course known as IRON (Initial Registration for Overseas Nurses) program. This program is a 12 weeks intensive course allows you to register with AHPRA either as an Enrolled Nurse or a Registered Nurse. Entry Requirements: • Have at least 3 years nursing experience and • Have at least a Diploma issues by an approved institute for Enrolled Nursing OR Bachelor of Nursing for Registered Nursing and • Crime-free history and • IELTS score of 7 each in Academic module with two test settings in six months with overall score of 7 and each score of minimum 6.5 OR OET score of B in each component OR PTE Academic of 65 in each components OR Currently Employed for 2 years in an approved English speaking country OR Five years of secondary or higher study approved by AHPRA including a 12 months of recognised nursing program from an approved English speaking country . Approved countries include; Australia, Canada , New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom, or United States of America. Once you qualify, you will be required to apply to AHPRA for registration and they will advise if you meet the Australian registration requirements or required to do a bridging course. (Application fee is $520). IRON (Initial Registration for Overseas Nurses) Program: It is a 12 weeks intensive face-to-face program available in Melbourne, Australia. The course cost is AUS $12,000. You will be required to provide AHPRA letter for this enrollment and appropriate visa to come to Australia. You can either obtain a visitor visa for this purpose OR can entre on one of the eligible passports as visa-free entry. Your Career: As an Enrolled or Registered Nurse, you can earn between $55,000 to $120,000 per year. There is huge skills shortage across Australia. You can either obtain a Subclass 457 Work Sponsored Visa or under skilled migration, you can migrate as a Enrolled Nurse under Subclass 190 visa or Registered Nurse under Subclass 189/190 Visa, depending upon your eligibility.
