Before Each Game:*very important - If the teams names are not listed in your schedule you must correctly identify which team is the home team and which is the away team. Ask the teams that are playing which is home and which is away. Misidentification will lead to the wrong
teams advancing to the next games in the schedule.

The official rules for the tournament is the National Federation High School Rule Book.
POINTS OF EMPHASIS
1) Time-outs (Coaches or players may call a time out): •2(two)-regulartime-outs •1(one)-30secondtime-outpergame Only 1 (one) time-out per overtime. Unused time-outs will not be allowed to carry-over into overtime.
2) Free Throws: •On10thTimeFoul-One&OneBonus •NoDoubleBonus
3) Game Playing Times - Stop Clock for All Divisions •16minutehalvesOR •3minutehalf-time •Overtimeperiods-2minutesforalldivisions
4) MercyRule: Ifateamhasa20pointleadatanytimeduringthe2ndhalf,theclockwillbecomea running clock, except for time-outs. The clock will become a regulation clock if the point differencereaches20points.Defensewillnotbeallowedtofull-courtpressduringthe mercy rule. Teams may begin their defense at half-court.
5) TieBreaker: When (2) two teams are tied, Head-to-Head determines the winner. When three (3) teams are tied, a point differential (maximum of 13 points) will be enforced. The point differentials of each game are totaled and teams are ranked. The team with the lowest total is eliminated. Head-to-head will then determine the winner.

A Few Reminders
1. All coaches will be required to stay in the coaches’ box during the contest.
2. All players must be in proper uniform. T-shirts must match the main color of the uniform.
3.RefereesandcoacheswillmeetpriortoeachcontesttocoverspecificrulesandtheBlueCard.
4. Excellent sportsmanship will be required during the tournament. Coaches must behave in a positive manner at all times. The head coach is responsible for their fans at the gymna-sium. Any adult ejection will result in removal for tournament duration, and the ejected party may not enter any facility for the remainder of the tournament. During the San Diego Summer Championship FInals, players may NOT play on more than one team!
All players must be registered online.

1.)Spectatorsarenotallowedtoharassoropenlycriticizethereferees.Verbalabusewillnot be tolerated.
2.) Spectators should not harass or berate members of the opposing team, nor should they belittle their efforts.
3.) Spectators should cheer and encourage their team. They should be supportive of their team in victory and likewise to defeat.
Remember,itisjustagameandshouldbefunforall.Spectatorswillbeaskedtoleavethe facility if their behavior does not represent good sportsmanship and respect.

Aftertheofficialwarningatthecoaches/refereepre-game, the following will happen:1) 1st Infraction - One (1) Technical Foul goes directly to the Head Coach.2) 2nd Infraction - Two (2) Technical Fouls and the Head Coach is removed from the gymnasium.3)3rdInfraction-ThegameisoverANDtheoffendingteamisplacedonimmediatesuspension.
Any adult, including the Head Coach, will not be allowed to attend any games for the duration of the tournament, after an ejection.
