WakeMed Stadium, located at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, is the home of the NASL’s professional soccer club, the Carolina RailHawks. The internationally recognized venue has seen over 20 international teams representing 13 different countries play here since its opening in 2002. WakeMed Stadium has hosted nine NCAA College Cups including a record six Women’s College Cups and three Men’s College Cups.

The 10,000-seat stadium sits on a 150-acre athletic complex featuring seven other fields and a 5K cross country course. Most recently, the stadium was the recipient of a seven million dollar renovation, which added 3,000 seats, luxury skyboxes, party decks, team and officials facilities as well as concession and restrooms. The newest addition is a 38 foot by 20 foot state of the art Daktronics video board and sound system. The FIFA-certified playing surface features a plush perfectly manicured and flat Bermuda surface that is overseeded with rye in the winter months. It has a sand-based drainage system that provides excellent drainage even in the wettest of conditions.

WakeMed Soccer Park serves as a local, regional, state, and national venue for soccer teams’ usage. Participants and fans will enjoy watching exciting soccer action in one of the very first soccer-specific stadiums built in the United States. WakeMed Soccer Park also served as the final training complex for the U.S. Men’s National Team before the 2002 and 2006 World Cups.
