PV Life Cycle

Thailand’s PV value chain

• Production capacity > 2 GW/year• Foreign manufactures

• Policy to promote rooftop PV• EPC and O&M booming

Growth of Solar PV in Thailand

• Cumulative PV installed capacity: > 2000 MW (as of 2016)

• Target capacity by 2056: 6000 MW

Page 9: Women in PV session, PVSEC-27 Shiga, Japan...Since 2008 - present Researcher at NSTDA, Thailand Solar Energy Technology Lab. Thin films Si solar cells on glass and flexible substrate

• Education of solar PV

Realization of potential and limitation of solar PV.

• EPC and O&M services

Skilled engineers and workers . Following Code of Practice

• Continuous and stable policy

Scientists should provide necessary information to support

policy decision makers in their countries.

How to achieve sustainable growth

Science, Technology and Innovation play a key role

in driving the growth of PV.

Messages /Lesson learned

• Be adaptable to the changed circumstances.

(Resource, budget, and market status are different

from country to country)

• Be happy to learn new things.

• Be active in international cooperation.
