    Dear Sir.

    We received a paper from Glens Falls a short time since containing a notice of your

    Mothers decease, your Aunt Converse wishing some of you would write to her and give some

    further particulars of her sickness, she has not had any direct inteligence from you in some time.

    Her health continues good for a person of her age is about as spry now as any of her daughters

    Your Uncle is becoming quite feeble, is very clumsy gets out doors but little, occasionally carries

    in a little wood for exercise, has-not walked to a neighbours for a long time, they live where they

    did when you were here last, We had a letter from Sister Betsey Bicknell in Cincinnatti last

    week, was well, has only 7 children, Our family are well.

    We have had a very cold winter so far with plenty of snow, though it is pretty much gone now, I

    believe Aunt Molly & family, (or families) are all well as usual, Harriet wishes to be

    remembered by all of you, Please to write Soon

    P.S. In my haste I had forgotten to say any thing about my Parents, Father enjoys tolerable

    health, has threshed considerable this winter

    Mother is quite feeble, has been for several years is afflicted with a distressing cough which is

    constantly undermining her strength, I believe there is but one couple living in town that who

    were married before they were 53 years ago, thoug and then living here, though there are several

    individuals older than either of them, My Brother Justin purchased a farm on Long Island &

    removed there last spring is some 25 miles from N.Y. City.

    Mr Goodrich & Lois were here not long ago, all well, talks of going onto a farm this spring the

    burning of the Factory about used him up
