Lots 1, 2, & 3 bulls are blood brothers to the high selling bull in lastyear’s sale that sold to Stoughton Farms, Maidstone, SK. We referto their dams as “The six flush sisters” since they are all a result offlushing the L205 cow to IPU Black Label which gave us 6 daugh-ters. They will post some of the heaviest WDAs’s in the sale. Whilewe are selling full possession & full semen interest on all of themdon’t be surprised if we grab a bit of semen on one of them beforethe sale. We’ll let you know.

WLB 420A - Full sister to Lot 2 bull.Sold to Shannon Perlot, SK.

Predictability is a profit trait that sorts the great ones from the good ones. While all sixL205 flush sisters have that predictability, the dam of Lot 2 and the dam of Stoughton’sbull rise to the top. They are our favorites because of their proven genetic ability to passtheir genetic assets as well as “the productive look” on to their offspring. We think thisguy is a top end herd builder, a carrier of superior DNA. His first birthday will still befive days away come sale day but we feel he possesses the masculinity and maturity nec-essary to convince you you are indeed getting a very superior individual.

Since we don’t have Good Time any more it was very tempting to hang onto one of his sons. This blood brother was one that caught our eye all sum-mer. He’s got the substance and mass to be a crowd pleaser among thecow/calf producers. He displays a lot of character and masculinity. He hasthat herd bull look! When we look at him we see a strong physical influencecoming from L205. He will be up there at the top with his blood brotherswhen everyone has made their picks.

As you look through our catalogue you are going to see some bullswith very low birth weights. Many of these will be sons of our KopBaronson bull. We own him in partnership with Randy Geisler. Takenote of his pedigree you will find the Ms Knight 112R cow right upthere in the front line. Randy told us about the power of the Midnightcow well before her offspring topped the Kop dispersal. You willlike their disposition too. This 7/8 blaze face bull should work verywell on heifers as well as your mature cows.

Do not miss this guy. We took our eyes off of him and wow did heever change. He may have started out as a little 81 pounder but hecan run with the big guys now. The cowboys and breeders will likehis square build as well as his muscle and middle. Once we checkedout his dams pedigree it all started to make sense. You will find OilPatch’s dam in both the top and bottom of 385Y’s pedigree. Wecan’t write a better bottom side to a pedigree than this one.

We’ve had what we thought were some pretty thick bulls over theyears but never to the extent of this guy. He’s full quartered. That’seasy to see. There’s no way he can hide it. But he doesn’t quit there. You’ll find him possessing a deep full rib as well as a lot of depthfront to back. His dam was bought as a calf from Jim Ransom, Car-berry, MB. She’s proven to be a wise investment and is now in ourET program.

Wait till you get behind this guy. Thick from behind, wide down histop, square to the ground, round in his quarter and barreled rightthrough his heart. Our visitors inquire about him quite often. His RedNugget dam is a direct daughter of 352N just like the dam of Muir-head’s 400Y”Bill” bull. It doesn’t matter whether you’re makingcows, bulls, or steers, this guy should throw you plenty of good ones.Mark him single polled and double good!

Our El Tigre sons are consistently loose hided, soft middled andloaded with great hair. They have as much agility as any sire groupwe have worked with. 367B is backed by long haul bulls such asPowerdrive, Mr Beef 414K, and 680S. He possesses enough growthand natural thickness to make a lot of cattlemen’s short list.

Blackjack represents just about everything that has made Simmental the popular breed itis today. His dimensions will add up to more pounds and more profit for his new owner. His proud quiet disposition is complimented by his soft look and a very nice muscle ex-pression suggests he’s far more than just a performance opportunity. Blackjack’s volumeis set on a square base and impressive in his movement. His dam gave us a full sister thisyear that already stands out and she’s only a few days old. We are already anxiously an-ticipating the contributions she has in store for our program.

His Blowout dam is one of our dependables. Her sons always weigh up. Thisone has to be her best yet. His goodness starts at his nose and doesn’t let upuntil you get to his tail. Thick from behind with no threat to his shouldersand front end. Deep sided, big middled and impressive from all angles. Hisability to take off the horns adds to the long list of assets that he will carrywith him in what ever pasture he walks this spring and summer. The Domino75R cow was bought as a heifer calf in the first Shades sale. Her first calfwas WLB Red 462P 375T. His calving ease abilities were utilized by M&SCattle Co. and Czech-Mate Simmentals.

A ¾ brother to lot 10 that goes back to DCR Ms Aftershock L82.She was in production at WLB till she was 13 years old. 436B is niceheaded, smooth shouldered, long spined and has the thickness every-one is looking for. If you’re the lucky one that gets him on sale daybe sure to keep some of his daughters! Cow families like his willmake a difference in your bottom line.

As you look through our catalogue you are going to see some bulls with very low birthweights that are sons of our Kop Baronson 254Z bull. We own him in partnership withRandy Geisler. 254Z has taken us by surprise in just how influential he is when it comesto calving ease. We anxiously wait to see his daughters in production to see if the MsKnight 112R cow will have a hand in what takes place on his maternal side. Randy told usabout the power of the Ms Knight cow well before her offspring topped the Kopp disper-sal having used a son of her previously. When you walk our bull pens take note of the dis-position in the 254Z sons. 449B is as full barreled as any bull in the sale and has themuscle shape you want all your steer calves to have. His dam 373Z is a maternal sister toour Lot 9 bull and one of our top Good Time daughters. Not only does this guy have thelook, he’s also got the numbers to go with it.

These Kop Baronson bulls have been a pleasant surprise with most starting out on thesmall side and as maturity takes hold of them they change almost right before your eyes.Their calving ease is just icing on the cake to what you get in the whole package. Commer-cial and purebred producers alike will want to take a look at this late March bull. He’s verylikeable just for his type alone. He’s deeper flanked than most and sets down on some pret-ty good timber. His numbers are amazing to say the least. 406B registers in the top 2% forCalving ease, top 10% for Birth, top 2% for Weaning, top 4% for Yearling, top 2% for Ma-ternal calving ease, and top 10% for Maternal weaning weight. OH! Did we mention he’sin the top 5% for ribeye and top 2% for marbling. The bottom of his pedigree is geneticallyfoolproof as his dam is sired by Roughneck and she is out of Blowout’s dam. A surefirecrackerjack that should be a surefire hit no matter what role you want him to play.

One of our favorites on foot, on cow family, and on paper. It was so easy to pic-ture him. We chose this shot because it best shows his overall goodness and phys-ical attributes, big ribbed, soft middled, deep quartered, bear haired. His list ofphysical and inherited assets is a long one. His sire has proven his worth here aswell as at Hart Farms in South Dakota where he has sired a number of quality sonsincluding the $33,000 Hart Factor . His dam is one of our favorite Wheaty daugh-ters and represents what is proving to be one of our more influential cow families.See WLB 400Y at Muirheads, WLB 391Y at Double Bar D, WLB 388W used atWLB and maternal sire of five lots in this sale. Two good cow families join forc-es in what may well be our best Roughneck son yet.

A ¾ brother to lot 13 that comes from two black parents. While hisnumbers and his actual birth weight point to him as a heifer bull, wewould like to bring to your attention that he has performance geneticsthroughout his pedigree as well as some pretty stout cows. Be confi-dent in buying this guy for your cows and test him on a few of yourheifers.

COME TAKE A LOOK HERE! This guy is chocked full of good things, deep soft middled, cov-ered with super good hair, very strong in his structure without being course or big in his joints, comes down off his rib in a really nice way. He’s backed by the Oil Patch and Good Time com-bination on the bottom with Ms Knight 112R on top. He’s right in so many ways! Almost anApril bull. He’s just past 10 months of age when I’m writing this and he’s looking quite competi-tive among his February pen mates. Take a look at his EPD’s! He’s in the top 2% in five catego-ries and the top 4% for three other traits including REA and Marbling. He’s far from being a“geek type”. As this guy matures he’s proving he has the goods and he has his ducks in a row.

Here is your opportunity to put some Baronson 254Z influence intoyour red program. He’s the youngest bull in the sale and out of blackparents. We really like his shape and middle, He has the physicalaspect about him that says he was meant to be put in the heifer pen,pea headed, no threat shoulders and moderate bone. The breed greatslike Black Joker and Powerdrive found in his pedigree say he’s hasmore to offer than just a good night’s sleep.

His dam is one of the “six flush sisters” She always ads plenty ofgrowth pounds to her progeny. 419B’s hard data will put him rightup there among the top of his contempories for real time perfor-mance. His paper work has him in the top 1% for weaning, yearling, and maternal weaning weight. They tag him as in the top 3% for ma-ternal calving ease and milk. Take note of the two cows in the firstline of his pedigree, Ms Knight 112R and DCR L205. What a ma-ternal combination!

The 47Y(Sunny) and Goose cross is going to be on display a lot in ourred bull pen. Goose is a maternal brother to our headliner black bull,Lot 13. You will also see five ET full brothers sired by CMS Tradmarkand out of Braveheart 8W, making them maternal ½ brothers to thedam of lot 19. We are now calving Sonny’s third calf crop and continueto be amazed at the birth to yearling spread that he puts into his calves. On paper it shows him being in the top 1% for both calving ease andyearling weight. If you’re carcass-minded then you will want to knowthat Sunny is in the top 1% for ribeye and top 2% for marbling. 431Bshows a definite influence from his sire and his dam.

One of our favorites all summer. His dam is a beautiful udderedGoose daughter. Both grand-dams are sired by Leachman Body-builder 7303F which adds to the high expectations we have for thisloose hided Sunny son.

We bought two of our first red Simmentals out of the KeystoneKonnection Sale, Gwenda was one of them. She had loads of milkand a beautiful udder. This long sided Sunny son will catch your eyefor his hip and quarter. You can be assured his sons will weigh upand his daughters will make good productive cows.

A real class act! He combines smoothness of build with a great andproud presentation. His dam is a result of the first time we flushedBraveheart 8W. He has the credentials to be a calvingease/performance sire just like his dad. We have a full brother on theground this year and he is already a real “thick wad”. Count this guyin as one of the red bulls you will want to check out, for your cowsas well as your heifers.

Last year was the first year we sold 47Y sons. One of the really good ones was a blaze faced3/4 brother to this blaze faced, soggy sidedindividual. Keep his daughters, they will milkand have very nice udders. It’s bred into him.

A beefy blaze faced heifer bull for you to consider. A light birthweight individual that was born unassisted and undetected on a coldcold day with a strong will to live. You will find the great Wheatland902J cow in his dam’s pedigree two times.

He’s going to be an impressive herd sire and with thematernal influence of Braveheart 8W he’s destined to be a herd im-prover. He is a full brother, by blood, to lot 22 since both their damsare full sisters out of Braveheart 8W.

We missed the boat again! We didn’t get him DNA’d for polledness. He’s moderate framed and full of red meat, out of a dark red Quorumdaughter we bought in calf from Jim Ransom. We like this guy forhis depth of quarter and middle and the spring of rib he carries.

WLB 3553Z - Maternal sister to dam of lot 26. Sold to Bonchuk Farms in 2012.

WLB 351A - full sister to Lot 25. Sold in our 1st Internet Sale to Oliver Isabel, PQ.

We may never have another cow with as much longevity and soundnessof udder as the Nicole 1923N cow. It’s a good testament to what ConnorBeech held important when he was building the Conray cowherd. Tightattachment, very small teated and full of milk. Her son certainly deservesa better picture than the one we are showing you. When you see him saleday you will find him to be a well balance beef beef bull.

The fact that he had already nursed and it was minus 38 degrees thatmorning when we found him in the winter quarters say all that needssaid about his dam’s mothering ability. He presents a great opportu-nity to get a good thick beef bull out of a very qualified and commit-ted Maxwell mother.

If you like to brag about your calf crop and then back it up with howthey weigh up at the sale barn then this is the bull for you. His massand shape combined with his growth and length make him an im-pressive individual. He’s been enjoyable to watch this winter. HisConray mother has long been one of our dependables. The consisten-cy of his sire should help to make this one a sure bet and a profitableinvestment!

You’ll like the stamp and walk of this guy. He’s a very attractivehomo polled red bull out of a moderate framed, square hipped cowthat was our pick from the Kopp cow herd dispersal. He’s possessesan ideal combination of substance, frame, and structural correctness. He’ll be easy to find!

You will have a number of Tradmark sons to look at on sale day. They all carry what we call the Tradmark stamp. Smooth shouldered, long sided and nice muscle expression. This guy adds a good haircoat to his asset list.

This brother may be a little firmer in his muscle makeup but he stillhas that Tradmark look to him. We only had two heifer calves out ofthis flush. We featured one of these in our Internet Heifer Sale. Shewent to Triple R Simmentals, MB and the other will stay in the re-placement pen.

We are pleased to offer the opportunity to pick through these five ETfull brothers. We think when you get to WLB you will appreciate theuniformity you will find in them. The overall quality found in the groupwill talk highly of the genetics that make up each individual. These fiveET full brothers have been jockeying for individual recognition all win-ter. We only checked Lot 31 for polledness so keep in mind that hisbrothers may also be 100% dehorners.

3555B paid the price for the age of his recip mother and the effectlast winter had on her. He’s come a long ways to get back in the racewith his brothers and his pen mates. Take note that he is the onlyMarch bull of the five ET brothers.

We decided at the last minute we would catalog this heifer bull. He’sone of two April bulls offered. Now that maturity is having its effect onhim we feel he will be able to make a contribution to some ones pro-gram. His Wheaty dam is very influential about peeling off birth weight. The McCormicks at Grenfel,SK are using one of her calving ease sons. When you stop in at MFR just look for the ones sired by WLB Wingman

Tradmark worked very well with the Braveheart 8W, but then a lotof bulls have. Be sure to give these ET brothers a look. They offeryou an opportunity to access a nice balance of maternal and perfor-mance genetics in your next red herd sire. I have thought this onewas my favorite among the five more than once but then the next dayI have another favorite. They make a good uniform group.

His dam is one of three ET sisters resulting from flushing the dam ofour foundation sire, WLB Fresh 7M. This long spined Lego son willgive you a good balance of performance and maternal input.

We can’t give you more calving ease than Lego on top of Federal. Both are birth weight trait leaders and have been used heavily onheifers at WLB and by numerous other breeders. His big goggle eyesaren’t there by accident. Pigment is bred into him through Lego,Federal, and Global. 31X possesses a masculine build on a moderateframe. Use him to give you more pigment and more good replace-ment females

If we’ve ever done anything right at WLB, I would like to think, we did it when we bredthis guy. An 80# birth weight ET calf sired by a 70# birth weight bull out of a CanadianNational Grand and Reserve Grand Champion Polled Female which is also the dam ofour World Hereford Conference Reserve Grand Champion Polled Female. His pedigreeis made up of the bulls that made us what we are. Global 50S, Fresh 7M, Eli 83T, WorldClass 10H, Vaquero 25C, they are all in there. You can bet he would be staying here towalk our heifer pen if it wasn’t for the role already being covered by Powerball 27Awho just happens to be out of another maternal sister to lot 41. 8402B represents whatwe continually strive to produce at WLB. An individual that can provide a very highprobability of producing superior progeny with calving ease, performance, and maternalattributes while still contributing to “The Look”.

We had his Hallmark dam pegged right away as the one to buy outof the Hi-Cliffe dispersal. She was a good representative of the per-formance and productivity that Jim Milham’s cows were known for.We have been able to put a few daughters in our herd by putting herin our donor program. This Easy Street son has her stature and lengthof spine.

You will sock the pounds into a calf crop with this Easy Street son. That’s because he has the Blanche 127J influence on both sides ofhis pedigree. You will also find WLB Eli 83T twice, and DR WorldClass three times. He’s short marked, fully pigmented and a chumkof a bull just like his brother that sold last year to Keith Troop, MB.

Easy Ride comes from “good stock”. His older brother WLB Winchester Powerball 27A gatheredup $40,600 in exclusive semen “buy ins”. Easy Ride’s sire topped our 2013 bull sale going toGlenrose Polled Herefords, and Crone Herefords in Alberta. His dam is a maternal sister to anoth-er of our lead off Hereford bulls, lot 41. Easy Ride offers loads of muscle, with a long, strong top.He possesses just the right strength of bone to go with his mass and volume. While we feel wehave the best set of bulls we have ever offered and you will have plenty of good choices, we stillfeel Easy ride stands out in this quality group with his exceptional eye appeal and stature.

If I had to describe the Helton sons we’ve sold in this and our last two sales and do it in justtwo words, those words would be “darn thick”. They are made the way a beef animal shouldbe made. No matter which angle you analyze this guy, you will see he has plenty of mass. Youwill find him to be genuinely stout. His Robin Hood dam is as easy keeping of a female as wehave. She’s deeper than your average cow. The type you want more of. Who doesn’t want toadd more pounds and feed ability to their steer pen! Its bulls like this that can do it.

This Helton son will be at the top of a lot of list on sale day. He’s gotthe hard data and he’s got the goods. There just isn’t much that needsto be changed here. His sire is a top performance sire and his dam isloaded with maternal and calving ease. Yes he has a 70# birth weightbut we do want to raise a caution flag. If you have heifers to breed tryhim on a few the first year just to test out his calving ease tendencies.

These three Heltons sons make an impressive group. All deep fullribbed and nicely muscled over the rump all the way down throughtheir stifle. They have enough middle to go with their depth and mus-cle to really present a nice complete picture. This March bull ismarked just like his goggle eyed mother. If I can step out on a limb Iwould pick this one to offer the best calving ease of the three Heltons.

The Sammy bull calves have been impressive all summer and continueto be what we feel is the top sire group in the Hereford bull pen. Allhis sons stayed as bulls. This guy was our pick early on. He’ hasn’t letup but at the same time neither have his brothers. He’s long sided, bighipped and very likeable on the move. His dam is noted for takingbirth wt down. If you are looking for a good problem free beef bullthen lot 51 should be on your list.

If I describe one Sammy I will be describing them all. You’ll seewhat I mean on sale day. This guy is out of a good young Freshdaughter that goes back to the Blanche 127J cow family. This cowfamily is big on “deep”! He’s dark in color and excels in depth, frontto back. You go to town with a load of calves looking like him andyou’ll come home smiling, big time!

YOU WILL FIND HIM! 126B is a class act! He displays the eye appeal and “the look” thatgives a competitive edge to any calves that have it. That’s what helped to make his sire Agribi-tion Res Grand Champion Polled Bul two years in a rowl. His Eli dam is a top end female. It’sno wonder when you see she is a maternal sister to the dam of WLB Just Lovely 84X(WorldHereford Conference Reserve Grand Champion Polled Female), and the dam of WLB Power-ball 27A. Good haired, full pigmentation, built solid from the ground up with a pedigree that isloaded for bear! You will find him!

We’ve never had a sire that could put balance into his sons as consis-tently as Sammy. He also covers them in big time hair. This one hasthe distinction of being a brother to WLB Easy Street 100Z. Hecomes with a great dispositon and deep thick quarter.

40B has spent all winter making up for lost ground as his weanningdate came earlier than the others and he spent a good part of latesummer just getting by. He’s performance through his heritage andhis daughters should make darn good replacements..

A light birth weight on a dark red, short marked, thick son of a gun.You will find taller bulls but it will be more challenging to find onethat’s any more complete than this Sammy son. His Quaker Mom isa maternal sister to WLB Global 50S. Which explains why you willsee a Global stamp in him on sale day. If it wasn’t for the fact wehave plenty of 14N influence in our herd we would be keeping thisguy for ourselves.

A soft middled attractive Homegrown son that is a maternal brotherto the dam of WLB Easy Street 100B. He’s had that demanding“look at me” character about him all summer. He’s still got it today! He won’t lack for maternal power with WLB 81T and NJW73Scows in the same pedigree.

Robin Hood has earned our respect for his calving ease and maternalattributes. They have benefited us more than once. Here is a greatopportunity to purchase a bull for your heifers as well as one to giveyou some good replacement females. Their udders should be secondto none. The Global/Nikki 153N combination was a hit every time.

You have contributions from both sides of his pedigree showingup as top end performance coming from his Shapley dam and aconservative birth weight coming through his sires genetic makeup. This guy will be easy to find with his big hip and deep stifle.
