CHALLENGES COME IN ALL DEPTHS AND SIZES

LEVEL-RIGHT PRODUCTS FOR BOTH THICK AND THIN JOBS

COVER ANY FLOOR CHALLENGE

Count on the Level-Right family to turn even the toughest floor

challenges into smooth, level floors — just 2–4 hours after pouring!

THICK OR THIN. From deep fill to capping concrete, Level-Right

Self Leveling Underlayment is versatile enough to meet the demands

of virtually any floor challenge. Level-Right installs from 0"–3" and

can be poured over concrete, old floor goods, adhesive residue and

wood subfloors — often without shotblasting or scarifying.

IN A HURRY. Level-Right Maxx lets you cover a lot of floor in

amazingly little time. It installs at a thickness of 1/8"–11⁄4" in just one,

easy pour. Level-Right Maxx is self-drying, allowing most floor goods

to be installed within 24–48 hours after installation. For specialized

projects, Level-Right Maxx is moisture tolerant, enabling it to be

installed during the early stages of construction.

Level-Right and Level-Right Maxx can level entire floors, new or old

and attain compressive strengths up to 5,500 psi (37.9 MPa). They

work on, above or below grade, with no troweling required. Best

of all, their fast set times enable light trade work to resume quickly.

Whatever the floor challenge, Level-Right Self-Leveling Underlayments

are dynamic enough to meet the challenge.

INSTALLATIONLevel-Right®, Level-Right® Maxx Concrete subfloors must be fully cured, moisture free and have no efflorescence. The substrate surface shall be clean, dust and contaminant free. Cracks should be filled with a crack filler or an elastomeric compound. Plumbing or electrical penetrations should be properly fire stopped and sealed. The surface of Level-Right products must always be protected from oil, salt, water and surface wear. For epoxy or seamless flooring installations over Level-Right products, the manufacturer and installer of the flooring will be responsible for compatibility, bond test patches, installation recommendations and warranty. Because Maxxon Corporation does not perform the actual Level-Right installation, they cannot be held responsible for the results of epoxy or seamless flooring over Level-Right products.

TESTING For Level-Right products, field testing must be performed in accordance with modified ASTM C109. Before independent sampling, contact the Maxxon Quality Control department to ensure that proper procedures are followed.

LIMITATIONS 1. Do not pour Level-Right products where the floor temperature is less than 50 °F (10 °C) or greater than 100 °F (37.7 °C).2. Protect the poured mortar from wind and sun, and from freezing temperatures for the first 72 hours.3. The structural floor should be adequate to withstand design loads, including construction loads, with deflection limitations of L/360. The structural subfloor and floor joist must both comply with manufacturers’ maximum span criteria. Typically a deflection limitation of L/360 is adequate for Maxxon Underlayments. Some floor coverings may require a stiffer floor system. Maxxon Underlayments are non-structural and therefore cannot be expected to reinforce structurally deficient subfloors. Necessary allowances should be made for expected live, concentrated, impact, and/or dead loads including the weight of finished floor goods and setting beds.4. Additional consideration should be taken for concentrated/dynamic loads. U.S. building codes typically specify a uniform live load of 40 pounds per square foot for residential floor designs. This load is intended to account for large loads that can occur in a building. In reality these loads are not uniform, but rather consist of items such as furniture and appliances that actually induce concentrated

loads far exceeding 40 lbs per sq ft. Rolling concentrated loads such as office chairs, wheelchairs, and motorized scooters add turning, twisting, repetition, and other dynamics which should also be taken into consideration. Determining the appropriate structural design of the floor is not the responsibility of Maxxon nor the Maxxon applicator.5. Level-Right products are non-structural underlayments, for interior use only. Level-Right is not intended for use as a wear surface.6. Level-Right Maxx may only be used as a wear surface when sealed with a Maxxon approved sealer.7. Level-Right products will not structurally bridge over expansion joints, saw cuts or structural cracks, which should be allowed to continue through the Level-Right or Level Right Maxx. The architect or structural engineer must specify expansion joints and show their location in areas that will receive hard surface floor goods such as ceramic or marble tile, and hardwood flooring.8. For Level-Right, maximum installation thickness is 3" (76 mm). For Level-Right Maxx, maximum installation thickness is 11⁄4" (32 mm). Call Maxxon Corporation for application details.9. For applications other than those over structural concrete call Maxxon Corporation for the Application Bulletin.10. Maxxon Underlayments are not a vapor barrier. The general contractor/project superintendent, architect, specifier, or building owner shall test below grade, on grade, or elevated slabs for MVER (ASTM F1869-16) or RH (ASTM F2170). If the MVER or RH of the concrete substrate exceeds the floor covering manufacturer’s respective requirements for the finished flooring system, the concrete should be treated with a moisture vapor barrier, such as Maxxon DPM or Maxxon MVP, before installing a Maxxon Underlayment.11. Level-Right products are not resurfacing toppings for heavy-duty industrial floors or chemical environments requiring customized industrial toppings. Excessive service conditions, such as steel or hard-plastic wheeled traffic, dragging heavy metal equipment or loaded pallets with protruding nails over the floor can cause gouging and indentation.
