    You may only know him as 'theweird bloke with the shirts fromMock the Week' (said withaffection), but Milton Jones iscertainly making a name forhimself in the world of comedy.Since winning the 1996 PerrierBest Newcomer Award, Milton haswon countless prizes for hisunique, wacky comedy includingthe 2011 Chortle Best HeadlinerAward; fighting off competitionfrom popular nominees, AndrewLawrence, Craig Campbell and TomStade.

    Having been performing stand-upfor 23 years, Milton hasperfected his craft anddeveloped his famous 'one-liner'style of comedy, which can be seenon his live stand-up DVDs 'MiltonJones-Live Universe Tour-Part 1-Earth' and 'Milton Jones - LionWhisperer'. He told Wireless,When I first started I was soscared I had to get to the punchline ASAP. Therefore I ended upwith a lot of one-liners.

    Milton gained fame through hisregular performances on MichaelMcIntyre's Comedy Roadshow andpanel show, Mock The Week. Bothprogrammes see Milton appearwith fellow renowned comedianssuch as Dara O'Briain, RussellHoward, Frankie Boyle and KevinBridges. When asked who hisfavourite comedian to performwith is, Milton replied, I'mafraid it's every man forhimself. Dara is a very good hostthough. Not many people could dowhat he does.
