Welcome! As chairs of the OLLI Councils, we would like to invite you to explore our catalog of learning groups and workshops that are offered during the winter term. You will find a wide variety of opportunities to learn and make new friends, both on the Clarkdale campus and the Sedona campus.

The catalog explains the three categories of membership that have been designed to meet your needs, all of them at a very reasonable cost. If cost is an issue, we hope that you will explore taking advantage of the OLLI Aubrey Mills and John Acker Memorial Scholarship Programs. During the fall term, twelve people were able to take classes at OLLI thanks to the generosity of others. Our goal is to make our offerings available to anyone interested in learning and all members can help ensure this goal by contributing to these funds to help others. All contributions are tax deductible.

The heart of OLLI is the continuously evolving offerings. We are always looking for members to facilitate learning groups and workshops. One does not need to be a former educator to facilitate. Having an interest in a subject is most important. Facilitators can build classes around their experience and interest, serve as a moderator for a discussion or guest speakers, as well as sharing their expertise and knowledge in a more traditional setting.

Membership in OLLI has other benefits beyond taking classes. Members receive access to the Yavapai College Library, discounts on “Edventures”, and other special social and cultural events.

The operation and future of OLLI is shaped by its membership. Members make most of the decisions regarding how OLLI operates and OLLI is only as good as the involvement, creativity, and dedication of people like you. Volunteer opportunities exist on a short-term or recurring basis.

The staff of OLLI is there to serve your needs. Please feel free to contact them with your questions, concerns, or if you would like to facilitate or volunteer.

As you can see by examining the catalog, OLLI is a real gem in Sedona and the Verde Valley. We hope that you will enjoy the winter term and will consider how you can do your part to keep OLLI a vital educational and cultural organization in our communities.
