NOTE – OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES ARE HELD ON SATURDAY ONLY at Little Lake Park from 11:00am – 3:00pm
SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE AVAILABLE FROM MIDLAND SECONDARY SCHOOL PARKING LOT TO
THE NSSRC Sponsored by Central Taxi Friday February 5th January 1st – February 29th HFA will be holding a Huronia wide, community snow sculpting contest!
The contest is open to individuals, families, groups and businesses. Photos will be displayed at Winterfest, on HFA’s Facebook page and website, and through social media. WE will need YOU to be our judge and vote for the People's Choice winner! The contest will run from Jan 1st, and close on the 29th of February.

1:00pm – 2:30pm FREE in door Public Skating (NSSRC) 5:00pm – 8:00pm Winterfest “Dinner in Your Hands!” With special guest cook Ethel Chynoweth
at Huronia Museum. Ethel is a Midland resident who is very involved in her community but when summertime comes, she is often on the Powwow trail cooking up, crafting and dancing up a storm. Come and join us at the Huronia Museum for dinner and artisans sale from 5pm – 8pm. Enjoy homemade Scone Tacos and Corn Soup, visit the new exhibits and shop with local artists and artisans. $10 per ticket available in advance at Huronia Museum. (Remaining tickets available the evening of the event for $13.00)

8:00am - 7:00pm Local Novice and Atom Hockey Tournament at the NSSRC Arena from
8:00am – 7:00pm AND SUNDAY FEBRUARY 3rd THE ATOM
TOURNAMENT WILL RUN FROM 8:00am – 6:00pm
10:00am – 4:00pm Artisans Takeover the Museum” craft show and sale, tarot card readings and
warm beverages. Admission is free. (location – Huronia Museum)
12:00pm – 4:00pm 1st Annual Downtown Midland Chili Cook Off. The event will be held in the
new parking lot on the corner of King & Bay Street. There will be three
different categories (pro, open and kids).

10:00am – 3:00pm Do you think you have what it takes to be a pilot? Try out the FREE flight
simulators and enter the paper airplane contest or buy some yummy candy

Members of the Wye Marsh Ski Club will be on hand with ski equipment and snowshoes for you to experience how enjoyable these activities can be. (Little Lake Park)
TBD West Coast Lumberjack Shows – we will have x2 (20 min shows) which will
consist of chain saw carving, axe throwing, underhand chopping, chain saw racing, crosscut sawing and more entertaining skills. Times will be posted shortly! (Little Lake Park – volleyball courts)
11:00am – 3:00pm Elephant Thoughts will be on-site with their Maple taffy Station, Spelunking
systems (underground cave exploration) and Human Gyroscope (developed by NASA to prepare astronauts for zero gravity makes this the most fantastic ride where everyone can experience the roll and tumble of outer-space.
