Winter Weather Possible on Monday Morning
OVERVIEWLight snow will overspread the area early Monday morning. The morning commute may be impacted. The greatest threat for snowfall is across eastern Long Island.

Snow Accumulation - A trace to an inch across NYC, the northern portions of NJ, western Long Island, Lower Hudson Valley and interior Southern CT.
Elsewhere east of the NYC metro, 1-2” is expected.
Timing – Early Monday morning from west to east. Light snow should taper off by Monday afternoon.
Impacts - This may result in hazardous travel for the morning commute as the snow begins to fall early on Monday morning.

A track further to the north of the system would bring more snow to the area. Conversely, a track further south would bring less snowfall.

Coastal Hazards Through Monday
Coastal Flood Advisory- Through Monday morning high tide. Widespread minor to locally moderate coastal flooding is possible for coastal CT, Long Island, Southern Queens/Brooklyn/Staten Island during the Monday morning high tide cycle.
Coastal Flood Statement- Through Monday morning high tide. Locally minor coastal flooding is possible for the south fork of LI, and northern NYC.
Gale Warning – Until midnight Monday night. North winds 10-20kts gusting to 35 kts with 4-7ft seas over the ocean waters.
