  French wine is

produced in several regions throughout France.

France has the world's second -largest total vineyard area behind Spain.

French wine traces its history in the 6th century BC .

The wines produced today range from expensive high-end wines sold internationally to more modest wines usually seen within France.

France is the source of many grape varieties (such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah) that are now planted throughout the world.

French winemaking practices and styles of wine have been adopted in other producing countries.

Some producers have benefited in recent years from rising prices and increase

demand for some of the prestige wines from Burgundy and Bordeaux.

The cheese plate is usually formed from five or more sorts of cheese.

The sorts of cheese for the classical cheese plate are selected from the cheese with less striking taste to the more saturated one.

If we imagine the plate is the face of a clock, the hard sorts of cheese are arranged at 6 o'clock closer to the guest.

Farther the soft sorts of cheese are placed, then cheeses with sharp smell and taste are put at 11 o'clock.

Next the blue cheeses with piquant taste and complex scented bouquet of smell come.

In the middle of the plate there are tender fresh cheeses.

It is customary to decorate the cheese plate with grapes, nuts and leaves of mint.
