Happy energy for the future!
HyundaiWind Turbine SystemGenerated from abundant experience
Advanced Green Solution to the World
Since 1972, Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has been leading the heavy industry. HHIs business consists of seven divisions: Shipbuilding, Offshore & Engineering, Industrial Plant & Engineering, Engine & Machinery, Electro Electric Systems, Construction Equipment, and Green Energy.
HHI launched the renewable energy business in 2005 to provide green solutions through wind turbine systems and solar systems and this area is vitally important to its sustainability, both as a global leader and as a member of the global community.
HHI tries to contribute to the sustainable prosperity of humanity. The effort includes investing more in R&D to provide solutions to global environmental issues. HHI is also trying to position itself as a leader in the green energy sector based on eco-friendly philosophy to wisely overcome climate change and thereby it supplies much of clean energy needed to pass on a greener planet to future generations.

High Reliability Safety lock system
Back up battery protects blades in case of power fault
Blades will be turned into feathering position in the
event of an overall pitch drive fault
Flexible coupling for main component protection
Gearbox and generator are linked by a flexible coupling
which compensates for alignment tolerances
Minimized vibration and noise with noise decoupling
Protection from grid fault by LVRT (Low Voltage Ride
Through) function
Easy and Safe Maintenance Integrated Drive Train : Main shaft and gearbox as a unit
Easy maintenance based on its simple and integrated
structure
Reduced replacement work with its yaw system using
sliding pad. No need for additional brake
Increased safety by direct access from nacelle to hub
System monitoring and remote control functions

Hyundai Wind Service Programs will be implemented instantly in times of low wind to
minimize energy production loss. Our tailored service programs will meet all the customers
needs utilizing Condition Monitoring System (CMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition
(SCADA) System and Health, Safety & Environment standards.
Hyundai Turbine CMS is an integrated wind turbine control solution for reducing expenses over
time and extending component life. This solution for continuous monitoring and protection of
all wind turbines will reduce maintenance costs and energy production loss.
Using our SCADA System, customers can remotely optimize performance of an individual wind
turbine or the whole wind farm to maximize profitability.
HHI has established a policy under which we are
committed to complying with the governing HSE
standards and regulations. All business activities are
performed strictly in accordance with ISO14001 and
OHSAS18001 standard to provide safe, low risk, and
environmentally friendly working conditions.
