You can also come meet the UBC tutors who are here to help with subjects like math and science. If you can't make it today, you can also stop by Mondays and Tuesdays. D. Markic (F27 only) Cyber Kitchen Workshop: Would you like to learn about healthy eating? Do you want a recipe book with easy, cheap and fast healthy recipes? Do you want to eat delicious tacos? Come to the Cyber Kitchen’s workshop on Food and Nutrition. It will be at lunch on Monday March 3, in room 306 (Ms. Nakamura's classroom) There will be a demo for making delicious FREE tacos for you to enjoy. We hope to see you there. L. Nakamura (Mar3) Athletics Update: Basketball players - continue to hand in your uniforms - two days left for full refunds. Grade 8 boys’ basketball will NOT have a gym today after school, check the schedule outside the gym for future dates. Girls drop-in basketball WILL have open gym Thursday after school with Suzanne and Yanalyn. All girls are welcome to attend, even if you were not on the basketball team this year. Badminton try-outs for grades 9-12 are Friday after school in Gym C. Badminton Club will have gyms A and B. New members are always welcome. Spring Sports - practices and try-outs will start in March. Check the schedule outside the main gym for upcoming practices. W. Waller (F28) Attention Grade 12 Students: Posted outside the office is a list of all grade 12 students. The name on the list will appear on the Commencement Certificate that is given to you at the Graduation Ceremony. If you would like a different name to appear on this certificate, please see Ms. Siddle in the office to update your name by Friday, February 28th. A. Siddle (F28)

Reuse and Recycling Drop Off Event: The City of Vancouver is holding a Reuse and Recycling drop off event on Saturday, Feb 29 between the hours of 10am – 1pm at Trout Lake Community Centre Parking Lot (3360 Victoria Drive). Donate or Recycle small electronic appliances, clothing, tools, etc. Please visit Vancouver.ca/drop-off for a full list of items accepted. As well, an info sheet can be found in the office next to the Sign-In Sheet. B. Kwon All Grade 10s: Thank you to the many of you who have already submitted your Work Experience Applications to me. I know several students have asked me for an extension to submit the form. Therefore, please hand your forms in to me by Friday. It is best to place them in Ms. Bulietta's main office mailbox. M. S.U.C.C.E.S.S.: Looking for fun opportunities to partake in during Spring Break? Sign-up for the *FREE* S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Spring Break Camp 2020! This is a chance to develop your leadership skills, complete a volunteer project, go ice skating, visit Science World and Granville Island, and participate in a creative workshop- all for free! This program will take place from March 16th – March 27th on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1-3pm. Sign-up to get active and make some friends. White (Ongoing) Art Vancouver is organizing a Youth Art Fair called, “Art Ignites”. This event is for students in Grades 6 to 12 on Friday, April 26th from 1pm – 5pm. Over 1,200 works of art should be available for viewing. Teachers and students are invited to attend a fun and engaging afternoon that will include an opportunity to participate in an art workshop, a chance to speak to artists about their work, an art demonstration, and a panel discussion to inspire young artists who want to work in the creative field. Walk for Alzheimer’s: Vancouver 2020 IG Wealth Management is looking for high-

school-student volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks during the Walk for Alzheimer’s (greeting and motivating participants, setting up equipment, etc.) which takes place on Sunday, May 3rd.
