Intern-Shift Lab Metallurgist;
Working with a dedicated and goal oriented team under process department, Technical section.
Duties
Periodical Preparation and testing of Plant control samples from different plant sections in
order to correct and Correlate plant operations.
Geometallurgical Sample Testing used for Process plant Grade Control.
Conducting Optimization testworks on Pulp Concentrates from different plant streams and re-
pulped low grade concetrates.
Analysing flotation assays for both On-Stream Analysers (OSA) and Laboratory results.
Monitoring and Correcting plant pH and Pulp potential readings.
Monitoring of dissolved Oxygen in the pulp to ascertain whether collapsing of cells
eventuate in low oxygen dosages in the pulp at the time of collapse.
Conducting trouble shooting testworks whenever there is a problem of Collapsed cells at the
roughers or Cleaners.
Jameson cell pilot plant testing of different plant feed streams to determine which feed stream
can be upgraded more in the plant.
Conducting process plant Reagent Strength surveys and Making sure that plant reagents are at
target strength.
Analysising and reporting results of testworks.
Organizing and Supervising all works in the Metallurgy Lab during the shift

Worked as part of a dedicated team under Research and Development Department developing, testing
and Analyzing the Ion Exchange of Cobalt and Zinc using D2EHPA active ingredient Resins.
Duties
Preparation of Cobalt leach solution used as feed in ion exchange experiments.
Analysis of the sample results of the experiment.
Optimization of the Elution and loading cycles of the Co/Zn separation process.
Calculating the split Elution Efficiency of Cobalt to Zinc at each cycle.
