November 11 – December 12th 2014Controls Night LeadBonga NW, Nigeria

I was assigned as a Controls Night Lead on the SNEPCo, Bonga NW team in Nigeria. I acted within a team that was responsible for all equipment coming and going for offshore operations. During this hitch I tested a TIC (Tree Interface Cap), THRA (Tubing Hanger Running Assembly), rebuilt a Torus IV connector that was having issues with hump pressure, and did various PSM (Preventative Service Maintenance) on equipment. During all operations I was in charge of HPU operations, fluid sample readings, building manifolds for pressure testing and chart readings. Also help create a PSM tracking list for the team to use so we knew what work was on going and what was completed, as well as being responsible for all sign offs on any books for equipment that I was working on.

October 3rd – October 7th 2014Lead TSPSuncor Canada

Worked as Lead TSP on installation of HP cap for Suncor. The cap is actually a Vetco Grey TRT that was slightly modified to act as a HP cap to form a secondary barrier on a HXT. Retrieved debris cap handling tool from HGR rig and pulled debris cap from top of HXT. Preformed pressure test on primary L and U/L circuits as well as secondary L and U/L circuit before splashing and locking on HXT. Also did a As/Is and As/Left survey of the HXT.

Worked as Controls TSP lead on the Atlantic Eagle vessel in Terra Nova field for Suncor. Job required moving around field and assisting in ROV operations by functioning valves on manifolds and VXT’s, and completing As/Is and As/Left surveys of manifolds and VXT’s in the field.

Worked in FMC Canada shop on various Suncor equipment doing MOB and Demob jobs on equipment going offshore and coming from offshore.

December 11 2013- April 20 2014 Lead TSP Shell Princess/Shell Mensa Campaign Temporary Abandonment of 15K EVXT system with a TVD of 70+ degrees. WOM IRS, FMC TRT, HFL, EFL and down hole comms via ETU were utilized and worked flawless. XT cap removal and operations were utilized to ensure successful project with direction and recommendation from myself to my technicians, ROV crew, driller, subsea engineer and company reps. Down hole reading were conducted for down hole ops such as plug setting and cement jobs. Jumper flush ops were successful (gas lift and oil producing) ROV valve manipulations, hydraulic function of xt valves, XT removal from THS, Tubing hanger removal all completed open water from the Q4K. Retrieved the last Mensa feild Lower and Upper XT on A2, hydraulic jumpers and flowline line jumpers. During the campaign, also retrieved Mensa A1 jumpers, A3 THS and jumpers, UI3 XT, tubing hanger and THS, P7 XT, tubing hanger, and THS. Very successful campaign with positive customer feedback.

October 9-October 25 2013 Lead TSP Shell P3 XT Swap Job's objective was to kill p3 well, remove P3 XT and replace it with a new 15K XT. Equipment utilized was FMC's 15K TRT and WOM's IRS to Kill the well, establish comms with the XT via ETU/SPCTU and function the XT per the customers request from topside. Configured the WOM IRS with HFL hydraulic capabilities in case the field had failed hydraulics. Job was completed within the customers time frame and successfully with 100 % customer satisfaction. Job was completed with 100% uptime consisting of hundreds of hours and zero downtime.

August 22nd – September 16th 2013Lead TechnicianShell UI2 and PI1Finish decomplete that started in April

Acted as lead technician and re-visited UI2 and PI1 wells for Shell to finish decomplete. Responsibilities included managing crew of 5, inventory of equipment. Deck testing of THRT assembly with ROV panel installed for a open water retrieval of a TH. Completed JSA’s and held meetings on the drill floor discussing work to be done. Assisted in ROV operations, as well as clear communications with Shell logistics coordinator for procuring equipment to and from the dock. Pulled TH up to production tubing and broke THRT from TH. Pulled XT, THS, and Dry Hole XT’s from well heads. Sent equipment back to beach for NORM checks to be completed and equipment to be prepped to be restored and used later in the job when wells are recompleted.

July 3rd – August 3rd 2013Lead TechnicianShell Gryfalcon/DPDPWell Kill and Decomplete

Lead technician on high profile job for Shell. Responsibilities included running a crew of 12 for a kill and decompletion. Work scope included inventory of equipment, nitrogen pre charges of accumulators on Monobore HPU and accumulators on EDP/LRP. Completed deck testing on the rig. Managed crane ops and JSA meetings before RIH and POOH. Set up 24 hour monitoring of equipment via Smart Tool, as well as 24 hour monitoring of pressures on HPU. Monitoring on HPU was done through Smart Tool as well as physically for redundancy. Setup 30 min checks on HPU to verify pressures were being maintained. Constant communication with FMC engineers, Shell CM and 3rd party companies involved with job to ensure quality work and to verify no steps were being missed. End of job break down of all equipment completed and shipped back to Houston.

I also setup network connection from Cetco to FMC ETU laptop so they could view our ETU screen from their location on the rig. Over see ROV operations which included function of TST and UPST valves via hand held tool. Also engaged EH5 penetrator with class 4 ROV tool. RIH with lower and upper crown plugs and install XT cap to finish job.

Lead technician on high profile job for Shell. Responsible for all JSA’s and employees involved in work. In charge of overall operations and communication with 3rd party rep for Shell and project team for FMC. Made sure all parts and equipment for the job was available and ready for use. Over saw HPU operations and testing on EDP/LRP system with engineers and Shell representatives. Over saw all crane operations and testing of equipment through jobs entirety. At the completion of SIT made sure everything that was going to be used for the job offshore was intact, and shipped to one location for easy shipping once job was ready to start.

Jan 20th – Jan 25th 2013Lead Controls LLOG EHXT Install SS03 – E4 EHXT

Ride out on XT install boat. Get to well lower XT down onto well head and using MTRT guide XT onto well head. Once MTRT is pulled from XT have functioned lock cycle to lock it onto well head. Personnel move to rig to complete sub sea testing of XT using Oceaneering IWOCS system. Start up communications via FMC ETU software to SCM on XT.

December 28th 2012 – Jan 2nd 2013Lead Controls LLOG Dock Test SS03 – E4 EHXT

Complete dock test in Fourchon. Flush fluid to get NAS 6 cleanliness for SCM operation and valve functions. Operate XT valves and HP/LP functions via ETU through SCM. Build manifolds for pressure testing of MTRT and EHXT. Finish and trend pressure tests on valves. Complete silicon fill of SCM via silicon fill kit.

December 2012Lead Controls Shell MAC-A2 Dock Test

Dock test of VXT. Flush valves to fluid level NAS 6. Also flushed tote of fluid to NAS 6 for SCM functions. Set up manifolds for pressure testing, operate HPU and send signals for DH gauge readings for Well Dynamics to verify good electrical continuity for DH gauges.

Responsible for operating IWOCS HPU, IWOCS Reel, and Annulus line. R/U hoses for HPU and IWOCS Reel. Hook annulus line into rig lines for flushing purposes. Take fluid samples to ensure NAS 6 or better fluid was being used in system. Assisted in the installation and testing of IWOCS box onto drill string. Flushed MQC lines on HFL before connecting to IWOCS box. Did electrical testing on EFL’s and setup of SPCTU and ETU software for electrical communications down hole to SCM pod on XT. RIH with IWOCS reel and annulus reel. Retrieved TH and XT from subsea floor.

Assist in Shell Glider completion. Operate IWOCS Reel and IWOCS HPU to function THRT. Also RIH with IWOCS reel and POOH with IWOCS reel. Also before completion I was responsible for filling POD in Fourchon with Silicon via silicon fill kit before XT was ran 4300 feet sub sea.

Due to issues with connector also assisted in removing connector from XT, redressing connector and re installing in XT.

May 12 – May 23rd 2012Day Controls LeadNexxen

SIT for Nexxen. Set up and operate HPU for Nexxen SIT. Completed nitrogen pre charge of accumulators on HPU and SCM for PLET. Installed SCM on PLET. Vented fluid and nitrogen from HPU and had it ready for shipment at end of SIT.

March 8 – April 3rd 2012Day Controls LeadShell Llano 3

Decomplete of Shell Llano 3 15k EVXT. Testing of electrical testing of EFL’s, Run and secure EFL’s on to BOP stack. Run e-line reel. Set up ETU software to function valves on XT and to log and trend data to send to Shell offices for review.

Begin rotation of H-tool until a slight pop and pressure release was heard. Function valve with torque tool (150 ft lbs, 13.5 rotations) to relieve trapped pressure.

Removed SCM from EDP and replaced with dummy SCM. Installed handling tool and moved to inspection stand where gaskets were installed to bottom of EDP. Then moved back to test stand and locked into place with a SL II connector. Filled dampener bottles on EDP to 1800 psi. Leak tested EDP WSCM ports at 5000 psi. Tested production valve at 10,000 psi to put pressure upstream. Cycled RPIV valve on LEP at 550 ft lbs. Serviced and charged accumulator bottles on LRP to 200 psi. Pressure tested secondary lock and U/L functions. Clean and inspected stabs, connector and cycled valves. Prepared electrical check for LRP. Pressure tested hydraulic control lines to 3000 psi and stroked all valves and checked accumulator pressure for any leaks. 5 min and 15 min pressure test of 10,000 psi and 250 psi.

Assisted in testing of 3x3 HPU and IWOCS HPU. On 3x3 unit pressure tested LP to 6k and HP to 15k and tested functionality of needle valves. On IWOCS HPU LP side pressure tested to 5400k and HP side pressure tested up to 18k. 5 and 15 min test. Once pressured up fittings were inspected to ensure no leaks detected. Test completed and pressure vented off.
