On Wednesday, August 27, Aaron Joseph Blevins was born to Heather and Cliff, a couple in our church. In thinking about their joy and how happy we, Miss Jackie and I, were for them, you’d think we were part of the family; well in a sense we are. As I was rejoicing with them I thought of the joy I experienced when my own children were born; how awesome an experience. All the emotions, the pride and humility, the fear and sense of fullness, all these, and more, experienced at once. I remember those and think of the wonder of it. What is more wonderful is imagin- ing God’s perspective. God has purposely formed Minister’s Corner each of us and caused each of us to be born. He watched, and watches over us, cares for us, and sends us informa- tion about himself in order for us to get to know him. He knows us, because he has been watching us as we have lived in this world. What he is waiting for, is for us to accept him and form a rela- tionship with him. In this world, there are some who have adoptive par- ents. Sometimes those, who when they find out they are adopted, want to find their biological parents and form a relationship with them. is is somewhat how God is waiting for us to form a bond and a relationship with him. Only, unlike the one with our earthly parents, the rela- tionship with God is eternal. If you would like that, then pray with your heart to God and tell him. He will hear you if you are sincere.
