This was just weird. I didn't feel like RP'ing, but a friend hadbeen hanging out to RP for ages, so I went in anyway. Inormally RP as Seer, who is a sort of mentor/benefactorof Cassius, a dark jedi hunter who Seer has been helping

in the path of darkness, in exchange for the services ofthe dark hunter.I wasn't in the right mindset to be Seer, so I brought in Will

instead. Now Cassius brought in Dumane instead, butdidn't seem to be doing anything, but it didn't matterbecause I actually ended up with a very cool RP - onethat shows how Will is different to my other jedicharacters.

I decided a while ago that Will's path was to be that of a

blade-master. He's only a jedi knight, but his focus is insaber skill, not necessarily in terms of force powerthough. So he doesn't wield most of the fancier forcepowers, but rules with saber moves.

Even at low creativity level, I managed to pull off a cool RP,without too badly ripping off KotOR2. Elijah helped too.

I totally made most of this stuff up by myself, using onlysome sentence from the Ep3 visual guide about Soresu,about the eye of the storm.

William_Harmony wanders into the palace gardens, hisusual blindfold adorns his eyes as he carries hisswordcane with him

William_Harmony unsheathes the straight bladed swordfrom the sword cane and practises Soresu style sabermovements

Elijah hears some slight sounds, and goes toinvestigate, spotting William in the distance

William_Harmony executes the swift movements of thedefensive style of Soresu, otherwise known as saberform 3, it is the style best used for blaster bolt deflection

Elijah approaches slowly and silently, watching the guyin the blindfold

William_Harmony spirals about with a finishing move,bringing the sword down toward's the tip of Elijah's nose,

halting before it by milimeters in a brillant flash ofmoonlight that dances off the metal blade

Elijah reacts instinctively, his saber coming out of thespringloaded fore arm sheath, igniting with a snap-hiss

as he brings his left arm up, saber gripped firmlyWilliam_Harmony :You try to sneak up on me and draw aweapon at my reaction?

William_Harmony lets the sword move away loosely,reflecting the light of the saber off its metal blade "youact out of instinct but not of the force"

Elijah takes a step back......"I didn't sneak up on ya,mister.....this area's wide open....not my fault youweren't payin' attention"

Elijah doesn't know, IC, that William is blind, or a jedi)

William_Harmony has a blindfold on, I said that, you saidthat]]

Elijah folds his arms defiantly across his chest...''my

saber woulda still come up, and you'd a had a fight onyour hands, bubba"

Elijah : heheh)Elijah : I knew that one day, I'd get to call someone Bubba,

roflmao!)William_Harmony : A saber comes towards you yet does

not complete its attack and you decide to jump straight intocombat, ignoring the other options?

Elijah : what are ya bustin' chops for? It was YOUR sword

comin' at me! Who the heck are you, anyways??William_Harmony : If my intention where to hit you withthe blade, your lack of attention to the force alone, tells meyou would not have stopped me. But I did not. I am WilliamHarmony, a blade instructor at the Jedi Praxeum

Elijah blanches, realizing he just mouthed off tosomeone who was at least a knight orbetter....."errrrr.....ahhhhh.......oh poodoo"

William_Harmony : No, you'd only be in that if I were anenemy. And only because of your apparent lack of practise. Isuspected you to be too young to be a sith apprentice,making you clearly a jedi student

Elijah lowers his gaze towards the ground, blushingfuriously.....''I...errrr.....yeah"

William_Harmony : It is good to follow your instinct, but notif you ignore the force, which should inspire and nuture the

still looking down at his feetWilliam_Harmony : From what? There was no attack

William_Harmony : How did your approach look to you?Elijah shrugs......''I brought my saber up to defend

myself....not like I was attackin', or anything"William_Harmony : No not that, when you came closer to

someone who obviously couldn't see you.Elijah blushes again......''I just wanted to watchya.....honest!"

William_Harmony : What did you see?Elijah : well, I saw you movin' that sword like you been

doin' it a long time.....William_Harmony : Its called Soresu, a defensive style. The

method reflects the phiolosophy of being in the eye of astorm

Elijah 's brows arch....''it does?"William_Harmony : Its about being centered, in a storm, the

safest place within it, is the center or the eye.

Elijah nods, knowing that.....having lived in the forest,he's weathered some storms

William_Harmony : In the center of a storm, its easier tosee whats around you, to be aware of it and how toapproach it, but storms move, and so must you with the eye.

William_Harmony : In Soresu, the jedi keeps in the middleof the battle, moving only as the fight does, but neverstraying from the middle point, thus all around the jedi maybe devastated, but the jedi stays safe.

Elijah scratches his head, thinking....it makessense....."I never heard nobody put it like that before"

William_Harmony : The force guides the jedi, showing himor her where and when the storm will move, if the jedifollows, they remain safe

Elijah nods slowly, beginning to understand......''so....Iwas on the outside, and....."

William_Harmony smiles "its alright, Soresu isn't a style foreveryone. Some are more direct minded, an Atarupractioner understands the nature of a straight line, thatit is always the quickest path between two points"

Elijah : I'm just doin' basic practice at the praxeum.....Idon't really have a style yet

William_Harmony : Basic practise comes under Shii-cho,also known as form one. Have you ever heard of form zero?

Elijah shakes his head.....''no sir....."William_Harmony : It is a form that is said to be the most

important form - the way of not igniting one's saber. if a jedican learn how to not use their saber and still resolve thesituation, they achieve more than the most skilled jedi

Elijah : cuz they ain't killin' someone.......William_Harmony : its not just killing, its an absence of

violence. Now, form zero is not always applicable to allsituations, but if it is the core of all forms, a jedi does well.as they truely express an understanding of when to not fight

Elijah : so......I messed up pretty bad.....

William_Harmony : Did you? if you had not reacted as youdid, we wouldn't have had this discussion

Elijah : ummm.......that's true.....oh, ummm.....my name'sElijah
