built in Older laptops can use a WiFi card installed into a slot
on the side

How Does it Work?
WiFi needs a transmitter/receiver like a two-way radio
The WiFi transmitter/receiver that connects to the network is called a wireless Access Point (AP)
A PC, laptop, or PDA that is WiFi capable will also have a transmitter/receiver
WiFi power is weak compared to a two-way radio thus the range is only a few hundred feet at most when unobstructed
