The US History Research Group

About us Northumbria University has one of the largest dedicated teams of US history lecturers and re-searchers in the UK. There are four specialists in US history that head this group, and several his-tory staff have research interests that intersect and overlap.

The members of this group have particular re-search strengths in the in connections between US history and race, diplomacy presidential poli-tics, transnational culture and ideas. We wel-come students to work with us to craft research projects in similar fields and contribute to a growing North East community interested in the United States.

Moreover, the group is active in coordinating seminar papers, sym-posia, and interna-tional confer-ences.
