• Special Law “On Quality of Education“

• The European Association for Quality Assurance in HigherEducation (ENQA) granted affiliate status to the NCEQE in2013

Quality of Education:

• Authorization - institutional evaluation, which determinescompliance of an institution with the AuthorizationStandards, obligatory for all HEIs in order to be allowed tocarry out educational activities and issue a diploma that isrecognized by the state.

• Accreditation - external quality assurance mechanismwhich determines educational programs’ compliance withHigher Education Accreditation standards. Higher educationprogram have to be accredited in order to be eligible fornational grants.

College - institution of higher education which carries out only firststage educational program of higher academic education
