WHY?

Why Welcome New Members into Fellowship?

Ephesians 4:16 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting

ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Why Commission a TEAM to Guatemala?

The Great Commission: Matthew 28:18-20 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth

has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the

name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey

everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Why Commission a TEAM to Guatemala?

The Great Commandment: Matthew 22:37-40 37 …"'Love the Lord your

God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 All

the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Why we do what we do?

John 3:16-18 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that

whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his

Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever

believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned

already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

Romans 6:23 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Death is a reminder of God's wrath for sin

The cross is a reminder of God’s love for sinners

John 4:35-36 35 Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. 36 Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.

Belief in the afterlife affects the way that we live in this life

Obedience is the key: Get where you need to be spiritually…
