Why convert a Video file?

• If you are going to upload a Video to YouTube and it does not except the type of Video file, you have to convert it to another file.

• The great news is that YouTube excepts about 8 different files like these - MOV, MP4 (MPEG4), AVI, WMV, FLV, 3GP, MPEGPS, WebM.

• If you have to convert, next is how to do that with aTube Catcher.

• You need to download it first

• Once you download, you see this icon on the desktop, which is also on the computers in this room. Double click on it.

• When you open it, you see the features. Next is Video Converter. Click on it.

• When you click on it, this page opens. Then click on the dropdown next to Output profile.

• A new window opens. I recommend click on MP4 High Definition.

• Next Click on the icon the right of Save To and a new window opens.

• Find the folder to save, like Paige Villas under Video folders, then click on OK.

• You then see the Save To has changed. Then Click on Add in the upper right.

• New window opens again and find the folder with the video, which is next.

• I found PaigeVillas under Videos. You see the MOV video. YouTube does except it, but I double clicked on it as a sample.

• You then see it under file. Then click on Convert in the lower right.

• You see in process. Next is when it is complete.

• Once complete, click on the folder next to Save To.

• You then see Open Folder and click on it.

• File explorer opens and you see the new video with mp4 file.
