Parish Mission Statement
We, the community of St. John Neumann, desire to guide all souls toward God. This we accomplish by evangelizing through our ministries. Our liturgical celebrations center around the Eucharist.
Our Vision We seek to become a spiritual home where God’s love for us and our love for Him abounds freely and within an atmos-phere of brotherhood and good will.

Weddings Arrangements need to be made with the pastor 6 months in advance.

FAITH FORMATION NEWS
Faith Formation Classes start for year 2017-2018: on Tuesday, September 19 from 6:30p.m. to 7:45 p.m. for the First Holy Communion students. The classes for Confirma-tion are from 7:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. also on Tuesday, Sep-tember 19. Please be on time. Youth Group participation is a requirement for Confirma-tion. Youth Group meetings are on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Mass attendance Record: please bring back the Mass attendance record from the Summer or from the Spring se-mester to the first class and turn it in to the catechist. Dress Code for classes and Youth Group: only long pants, no shorts. Pants: blue jean or khaki, no leggings or stretch material pants are permitted and proper blouses or shirts, no sleeveless tops. No flips flops are permitted for footwear.

NOTICIAS DE FORMACIÓN EN LA FÉ Las clases de Formación en la Fe comienzan: el mar-tes, 19 de septiembre de las 6:30p.m. a las 7:45 p.m. para la Primera Comunión. Las clases de Confirmación también comienzan es mismo martes de las 7 :00 p.m. a las 8:00 p.m. Por favor estén a tiempo. Grupo juvenil: participación en el grupo juvenil es un requisito para la Confirmación. Las juntas son los miér-coles de las 7 p.m. a las 8:30 p.m. Record de asistencia a misa: por favor traiga el record de asistencia a Misa al primer día de clase y entréguelo a la catequista. Por favor recoja un record nuevo para este semestre durante la inscripción de los alumnos. Vestuario para clases: no se permiten pantalones cor-tos, solo pantalón largo de blue Jean o de Khaki, no leggings o material pegado a la piel (stretch pants). No se permiten sandalias pata de gallo. SJN NOCTURNAL ADORATION SOCIETY
Invites everyone to join us in worship before the Blessed Sacrament every second weekend of the month; our next Vigil will be Saturday, September 9th and Sunday, September 10, 2017.
The Vigil will start at 8:00 pm with an opening prayer and an-nouncements. All are welcome; bring your family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors to spend a night with God.

Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi and he asked his
disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" They re-
plied, "Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah, still others eremiah
or one of the prophets." He said to them, "But who do you say
that I am?" Simon Peter said in reply, "You are the Christ, the Son
of the living God." Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you,
Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to
you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter,
and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the neth-
erworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the
kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in
heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in
Heaven." Then he strictly ordered his disciples to tell no one that
he was the Christ. MT 16: 13-20
XXI DOMINGO ORDINARIO
En aquel tiempo, cuando llegó Jesús a la región de Cesarea de
Filipo, hizo esta pregunta a sus discípulos: "¿Quién dice la gente
que es el Hijo del hombre?" Ellos le respondieron: "Unos dicen que
eres Juan, el Bautista; otros, que Elías; otros, que Jeremías o alguno
de los profetas". Luego les preguntó: "Y ustedes, ¿quién dicen que
soy yo?" Simón Pedro tomó la palabra y le dijo: "Tú eres el Mesías,
el Hijo de Dios vivo". Jesús le dijo entonces: "¡Dichoso tú, Simón,
hijo de Juan, porque esto no te lo ha revelado ningún hombre, sino
mi Padre, que está en los cielos! Y yo te digo a ti que tú eres Pedro
y sobre esta piedra edificaré mi Iglesia. Los poderes del infierno no
prevalecerán sobre ella. Yo te daré las llaves del Reino de los cielos;
todo lo que ates en la tierra, quedará atado en el cielo, y todo lo
que desates en la tierra, quedará desatado en el cielo". Y les or-
denó a sus discípulos que no dijeran a nadie que él era el Mesías.
