All residents are invited to participate in a Whiffletree neighborhood garage sale. The HOA will hang banners at the Whiffletree entrances to advertise the event.Things to consider :✦ Each resident must apply for a (free) Garage/Occasional Sale Permit. Visit
the following web site and follow the links: http://www.plano.gov/departments/building%20inspections/garage%20 sales/Pages/default.aspx
✦ The permit must be displayed on the premise for the duration of the sale.
✦ Signs may be placed on your private property or your neighbors private property with their permission – do not place signs on the strip of grass between the curb and the sidewalk, at corners of public streets or in medians of public streets.
✦ Please be respectful of the neighbors that may not choose to participate in the community garage sale. City ordinance prohibits parking in alleyways.

Neighborhood Crime Watch operates under 2 principles:Know your Neighbors and Report Suspicious Activity
CRIME WATCH ALERT: Several thieves have been spotted "casing" our neighborhood, as well as Forest Creek North. On Wednesday evening, around 6:30 pm on Aug. 18th, one of our neighbors had their doorbell rung. Once the dogs starting barking and the homeowner answered the door, no one was there. One of their neighbors in Forest Creek North also experienced the same door bell incident last week; however, later that evening they actually spotted someone looking in their back windows, who proceeded to flee once spotted by the homeowner. The police were notified, but they were unable to find a suspect. PLEASE BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR ANY SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY AND KEEP ALL DOORS AND WINDOWS LOCKED.
CHILDREN - Train your children not to answer the phone; not to reveal personal information; never to answer the door if you are not there or even if you are there. Only adults should answer the door.
GARAGE DOORS - Always keep your garage door closed. Always lock the door between your garage and your home whenever possible. Your garage can be robbed in the 1 minute you go inside to get the phone. Do not leave your garage door opener outside in a car (even if locked); do not pre-program a car that sits outside your garage.
