We’ve been distilling Jameson since 1780 but we’re always open to new ideas. So when a local craft brewer borrowed our casks to age their fine Irish stout, it gave us an idea; why not finish our own precious liquid in stout-seasoned oak barrels? The result was Jameson Caskmates, a delicious new whiskey that accentuates the trademark smoothness of Jameson Original with additional rich flavours of coffee, chocolate and butterscotch.

Triple Distilled, Once Stouted. Jameson Caskmates is finished in craft stout-seasoned barrels for additional rich notes of coffee, cocoa and just a hint of hops.

NOSE Aroma of freshly mown hay is complemented by crisp orchard fruit characters - green apples, pears and a twist of lime zest. Mild pot still spices appear, deepening from green tea to hazelnut and milk chocolate. The hop influence combines with toasted oak and barley grains to form a solid base.

Jameson Black Barrel is a tribute to the cooper’s method of charring barrels. Three wood maturation featuring virgin oak barrels for a complex, smooth taste experience. Like Jameson Original, Gold Reserve is a triple distilled blend of rich pot still and grain whiskeys. Like Jameson Original, it’s matured in a combination of the finest Grade A casks, all hand-picked by our Head Blender, Billy Leighton. In addition to American bourbon barrels and Spanish sherry butts, Gold Reserve also introduces virgin oak barrels to the mix, which contribute hints of spicy new wood. Each component is carefully monitored and tasted by Billy until it reaches the perfect moment to create the final blend, which delivers a complex, smooth taste experience.

The Blender’s Dog is a perfect balance of spirit, time and wood - the trinity of whiskey maturation.

Part of The Whiskey Makers Series, The Blender’s Dog is a whiskey that celebrates the art of marrying whiskeys. Distillers are concerned with all things pot still, Coopers obsess over barrels and Blenders need to know the best of both worlds. The Blender’s Dog is a superbly balanced, complex whiskey that delivers butterscotch sweetness with a prickle of spice and tannins. Making whiskey requires a fair deal of science, but blending is an art.

NOSE From light citrus to pineapple, mango and kiwi notes then add some figs and dates. A touch of walnut leads to the vanilla and toasted oak contributions from the seasoned American barrels and Spanish butts.

Three Swallow features all the singular characteristics of traditional Irish Pot Still Whiskey - robust, spicy and powerful. Green SpotThe Green Spot name originated from the

Mitchell Family’s practice of marking casks of different ages with a daub of coloured paint. Green Spot emerged as their most popular whiskey and is one of the few “whiskey bonder brands” to survive to modern day.

Green Spot is a non age statement Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey and is comprised of Pot Still Whiskeys aged between 7 and 10 years. Yellow SpotA Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, triple distilled in

copper pot stills from a mash of malted and unmalted barley. Uniquely, some of the whiskey has been matured in Malaga wine casks. Over time, these casks contribute some exotic characteristics to the whiskey, which is bottled at 46% ABV, without using chill-filtration.

Rather than being simply a finished whiskey, Yellow Spot is special in that it contains Pot Still Whiskey that has been matured for a full 12 year period in three oak cask types: American bourbon barrels, Spanish sherry butts and, uniquely, Spanish Malaga casks.

Green Spot ChâteauLéoville BartonGreen Spot Château Léoville Barton is the latest

edition to the Spot whiskey family. The whiskey represents the coming together of two historic families; two stories of Irish endeavour and enterprise that together, are the inspiration for this special edition whiskey.

Initially matured in a traditional mix of ex-Oloroso sherry and ex-bourbon casks, the whiskeys were then transferred into the ex-Bordeaux red wine barriques for between 12 and 24 months. This finishing imparted distinctive floral flavours of varying intensity, resulting in a perfectly balanced whiskey.

noseIt is the contribution of the French oak which drives the initial aroma adding some crisp woodland notes to the spicy Single Pot Still character. American casks in their maturation. Bearing the name of the recently retired, celebrated second generation Midleton Master Distiller, Barry Crockett Legacy represents a selection of Pot Still Whiskeys which have been matured exclusively in American bourbon barrels with a subtle contribution from a Pot Still distillate which has matured in an unseasoned American barrel.

noseElegant aroma of vanillaand toasted oak complementedby a touch of lime, succulent green berries, pears and green sweet pepper.

tasteLight pepper carries onto fresh citrus, limes and mandarin orange sweetness. A hint of cinnamon with vanilla and oak reveals its years spent in American oak.

MidletonVery Rare 2016Very small amounts of particularly fine distillates are set aside

each year at Midleton Distillery as potential candidates for Midleton Very Rare. Specially selected oak casks, lightly charred on the inside and which previously contained old Bourbon whiskey, are then filled with this spirit and placed in our best maturing warehouse. During the ensuing years, an exacting process of selection takes place which ensures that only the very finest whiskey goes into a vatting of Midleton Very Rare. The age of the whiskey will typically range from 12 to 20 and more years. Each bottle bears the signature of the Master Distiller, Brian Nation, as a final mark of outstanding quality.

noseCrisp red apple leads the introduction of yellow banana with the citrus zest of mandarin. The fruit merges with the ex-bourbon cask contribution of vanilla sweetness while the charred oak combines effortlessly with the pot still spices.

tasteNot to contradict the aroma, succulent ripe fruits are to the fore slowly evolvingthrough some peppery spices and settling in to a satisfying woodland character with hazelnuts representing the contribution of the best quality American oak.

finishSoft ripe fruit reluctantly gives way to the sweet nuttiness of American oak.

MidletonDair GhaelachMidleton Dair Ghaelach means, quite simply, Irish Oak. This whiskey

has been matured in casks made from sustainable virgin Irish Oak grown on the Ballaghtobin Estate in Co. Kilkenny and, what the oak brings to this special whiskey is the true and unique flavour of Ireland.

noseThe crisp pot still spices are seamlessly enriched by the woodland fragrance of the Irish oak. Sweet vanilla notes are given depth by some chocolate honeycomb and coffee beans. Whilst the balancing rich fruit aromas of red berries, pineapple and ripe banana compliment the subtle aromatic oils.

tasteThe typical pot still spices are fortified by the Irish oak character. Robust yet mellow, clove and cinnamon give way to dairy fudge and milk chocolate sweetness combining with a touch of stewed apple.

finishAn exceptionally long finish, with some sweet spices slowly fading, leaving the final bow to the Irish oak.

Its provenance as individual as its fragrance, its journey from grain to glass as distinguished as its finish, this is a whiskey like no other. The Irish oak casks are filled with a select range of 15 to 22 year old Single Pot Still distillates. Nosed and tasted every month by our Master Blender, Billy Leighton, and Master of Maturation, Kevin O’Gorman, after almost a year, Midleton Dair Ghaelach was judged to be beautifully balanced; subtly yet unmistakably flavoured to perfection by the Irish oak that gives it its name. Midleton Dair Ghaelach is one of a kind as it is our first Irish whiskey to be matured in homegrown Irish oak.
