Getting started

How does it all work?To ensure a slick, seamless process, proven imarket technology is used behind the scenes.Afterinitialregistrationthough,alltradingwillbethroughSSP-you’llnotneedto visit the imarket site unless you wish to add insurers to your comparison panel.

How do I get started?You need to ensure your brokerage is fully set up in order to start trading. This is very simple. The action that you need to take depends on what services your brokerage is already registered for.

If your brokerage is not registered with imarket:Step 1: Register with imarket.

• Visitwww.imarket.co.uk,clickonthe‘Register’tabandfollowthesteps.

You’ll need to provide simple information on yourself and your brokerage, which willincludeyourrelevantAvivacommercialagencyreferencenumber(whichwillbegin50,51or97)-ifyoudon’tknowthiscontactyourAvivabusinessdevelopmentmanager(BDM).Ensurethatifyou’renotthebrokerprincipalthey’reawarethatyou’reregistering, and during the set up process you select Aviva as one of the insurers that youwishtoseequotesfrom.Whenthisprocessiscompleteyou’llreceiveawelcomepack through the post.

Step 2: Register with SSP

• ContactSSPon08455049150whowillenableyourcommercialtradingfunctionality by providing you with a registration form. Once completed, you’ll receivenotification(within2-3days)ofwhenyouandanycolleaguescanstarttrading.

If your brokerage is registered with imarket but has never traded commercial products through SSP:Register with SSP

ContactSSPon08455049150who’llprovideyouwitharegistrationformtosetupyour commercial trading functionality.

SSP will ask you for your imarket registration details. If you no longer have these then you’ll need to contact the imarket helpdesk on 020 7265 5765.

You’ll receive notification of when you and any colleagues can start trading.

I’mregisteredforimarket&SSPcommercialtradingbutAvivadoesn’t appearYour brokerage may be set up to trade commercial lines through SSP, but if Aviva does not appear as a comparative option you need to add us. Amending this is simple and willallowyoutocheckhowournewproductsstackupagainstthoseofyourexistinginsurer choices.

Step 1: Aviva

You need to identify who your imarket administrator is. This person can log in to imarketandaddAvivaunderthe‘Registerwithnewinsurer’optiononthe‘Admin’tab.You’llneedtoinputyourrelevantAvivacommercialagencyreferencenumber(whichwillbegin50,51or97)-ifyoudon’tknowthiscontactyourBDM.Andifyoudon’tknow who your administrator is or need a password reset just contact the imarket helpdesk on 020 7265 5765.

Once we have cancelled the policy in our system we will ask you to process the cancellation in your own SSP system.

RenewalsForbusinesswritten,we’llhaverenewalcapabilityreadyandinplacebeforethebusinessfalls due for renewal. We’ll update you with the renewals process in due course.

Agency TransfersBecause of the integration between SSP and Aviva and the multiple potential routes to market it’s not possible to perform agency transfers on SSP transacted policies.

Ifyou’vereceivedinstructionfromaclientrequestingatransferfromanotherintermediarythentheexistingpolicywillneedtobecancelledandanewpolicyissued.
