organisation administered by The Sovereign Hill Museums Association.

For thousands of years, and well before any European settlement of this region, the Wadawurrung People of the Kulin Nation have been the traditional custodians of the land on which Sovereign Hill now stands.

Today, Sovereign Hill tells the story of Ballarat’s first fabulous decade following the discovery of gold in 1851, with exhibits and interpreters
